I grew up with Mt. Rainier out my bedroom window.  A beautiful sight every morning (except the many overcast days!)

Such a beautiful, majestic mountain...I could see it every clear day, or partially clear day, for the five decades I lived there and it is such a familiar sight when I go back to visit.  There is not a more impressive mountain - or a more memorable sight - anywhere on earth.

That's the view of the mountain I have from where I live judging by the position of Little Tahoma Peak. Though my house is father way than where the photo was taken, the mountain looks far bigger from here. The closer you get the smaller it looks but only because you are gaining in elevation.

That's a pretty awesome view Navy!  If I could see such a site from my house - I don't know that I would ever go inside!
