Gallego shatters records with $19 million ad buy in Arizona Senate race

Rep. Ruben Gallego (R-AZ) is launching a $19 million ad blitz in the Grand Canyon State, the largest ad reservation of any Senate candidate in the country thus far, according to his campaign.

The congressman is running unopposed in the primary but is likely to face Kari Lake, the front-running Republican candidate, in a race now considered a toss-up by the Cook Political Report for outgoing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (I-AZ) seat. The seat could determine which party gains control of the upper chamber in November.

Gallego reserved $19 million in advertising specifically for the general election, according to the New York Times. The ads are expected to run in Phoenix and Tucson television markets beginning on June 18. The former Marine also will have the support of $23 million reserved in advertising by the Senate Majority PAC, a Democratic group aligned with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

The reservation is far more than those placed by vulnerable Democrats in tough reelection campaigns. According to AdImpact, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) has reserved $14.3 million, Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) has reserved $13.9 million, and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) has reserved $8.9 million.

The news of the ad reservation comes as Lake’s campaign plans to reserve $10 million in ads for the fall, according to Axios. Lake released the first ad of her campaign on Monday, called “Big Differences,” in which she slams Gallego over immigration and border security.

Billboard Thanking Biden in Jerusalem Now Criticizes Him

A billboard in a western Jerusalem neighborhood that once thanked U.S. President Joe Biden for his support has been changed to criticize Biden for pressuring Israel not to pursue Hamas terrorists and win the war in Gaza.

As Breitbart News noted in October, shortly after the outbreak of war:

    On Emek Refaim — a street in the heart of the old German Colony, an area popular with Americans — a billboard thanking President Joe Biden for his support was the only face in sight Friday evening. Families gathered quietly for the Sabbath meal; some walked through the streets, the mothers pushing strollers, the fathers carrying rifles slung across their shoulders. There are fears that some of the Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel on Oct. 7 had lain low, and could strike again at any moment.

Biden had visited Israel just a few days before, the first U.S. president to visit Israel during wartime.



But today, Biden is viewed as hostile to Israel, after criticizing Israel’s war effort and withholding crucial weapons due to Israel’s operation in Rafah to defeat Hamas.

The sign now reads: “Dear President: The screams of our babies, women, men, and elderly who were murdered, slaughtered, and burned alive are calling you from the ashes — no more! Please DON’T!”

 ‘Mr. Fix-It’ Michael Cohen bombs on the stand, offers no new evidence to convict Trump

Michael Cohen apparently wants a reality show but, if his testimony Monday is any indication, reality is about to sink in for not just Cohen but the prosecutors and the court.

In stoking interest in his own appearance, the former Trump counsel promised the public that they should be “prepared to be surprised.”

Thus far, however, Cohen has offered nothing new and, more importantly, nothing to make the case for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Just before he took the stand, the New York Post revealed that Cohen has been peddling a reality show called “The Fixer,” including working with Colin Whelan, who helped create “Joe Exotic: Tigers, Lies and Cover-Up.” Whelan appears interested to stay within that genre.

The Cohen pitch came with a cheesy promo video where he promised viewers, “I am your fixer.”

His first post-Trump client, Bragg, may have to disagree.

Cohen had only one advantage for Bragg: His notoriously flexible morals and ethics, which allows him to say most anything to support his sponsors.
