Give the state governments of Connecticut and New York a little more time.

You may have to change your tune...

How many Connecticut gun owners have turned in their guns because they didn't register them?

Hint:  None.    Anybody going after them?

Nobody will.  Never, EVER enact a law you can't enforce.

You wanna be the cop who is the first one demanding a gunowner turn in his guns?

IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

You are probably correct.  Each person would have to be tried individually and a state would go bankrupt trying to do it. "Never, EVER enact a law you can't enforce".  This is something law makers do routinely so they can tell their major constituents they support this or that when they actually don't.  They know such laws are not feasible, like NYs "Big Gulp" law, but they get their names in the press.

On a serious note, Let em take em (guns).

There are many like myself who can manufacture our own weapons without any need to turn to outside arms dealers and that would also include ammo!

So it would seem that all of the leftists would be unarmed?

In that case .. "Give me your stuff"!  :silly:

Both New York State and Connecticut have already done just that.

Connecticut doesn't even provide a "grace period" or "second chance" for owners of "assault rifles". That is to say, those who own AR-15 type weapons who DID NOT register them during the "registration period" (that ended) last year, are now FELONS in the state of Connecticut. And I doubt more than 10-15% of owners went through the registration process.

Same for New York (although I believe that in NY state, if you are caught with an "unregistered" AR, you still get "a second chance" to register it. NOT SO IN CONNECTICUT.

I believe that in Connecticut, the powers-that-be are slowly "building their lists" by monitoring such things as ammo purchases, etc.
BTW, under the new laws in BOTH CT and NY, I believe the states are tracking ammunitition purchases. I believe buyers must be registered in some way with the state to buy ammo.

Sooner or later, there's going to be "a test", to see what the state can do insofar as rounding up weapons is concerned.

Sinkspur lives in Texas (I believe) and has no idea what conditions for gun owners are like in the Northeast. States like Connecticut, New York and Maryland are working actively to revoke the Second Amendment rights of their residents.

They're only getting started...
