The Trump Trial Farce Will Only Make Him Stronger
Kurt Schlichter

There is little point in analyzing the bogus New York case against Donald Trump from a legal perspective because, of course, it’s not a legal matter. It’s a political matter. It’s a kangaroo court, an attempt to railroad a political opponent to keep him from winning the election against the desiccated, treacherous, corrupt old pervert whom he’s currently pummeling in the polls. But the legal realities are catching up to the people seeking to frame him. This isn’t a case. It’s a scam. A lie. A sham. And a disgrace, not that anything can be a disgrace in a system so free of any moral or ethical considerations.

I would explain what the case is about legally if it was really about anything legally. I don’t actually understand the theory because there really isn’t one. They don’t need one because, as I said, this isn’t a legal matter. The Soros district attorney, who ran on a platform of finding something, anything, to prosecute Donald Trump for, hasn’t bothered to make it clear either. Why should he? The Democrat-donating judge, who should’ve recused himself based on his own manifest political bias and his daughter’s as well – she’s a Democrat operative — won’t insist that the DA do so. This judge seems focused on ensuring a conviction. He should have dismissed this case. Yeah, we hear a lot about Our Democracy and the Rule of Law, but it’s all a lie. You need to understand that.

The whole idea is to give Joe Biden the opportunity to call Donald Trump a convicted felon, so it’s the problem for them that no one actually believes it’s a real conviction. They know the verdict will eventually be thrown out on appeal by some court at some level that will do its job, as opposed to fluffing Democrat fantasies about imprisoning their political opponents. All they want is to get that conviction before the election. The actual law stuff? That doesn’t matter. It never did.

IOW, Florida won't be the only State growing oranges and Canada will eventually become the breadbasket of North America.

What's the 'problem'?  /s

It's one thing to hear conservative commentators state that Michael Cohen's credibility was destroyed during the Manhattan trial. However, it is quite amazing to hear someone as chock full of TDS hate as MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell admit that the Trump defense lawyer, Todd Blanche, utterly shredded Cohen's credibility.

It's Flori duh!   All these northern cracker transplants moving to central and south FL must not have gotten the memo before they loaded up the truck and moved to Disney.

Morons.

Record temps in Florida for this time of year already.

I live in a northern state. I cut grass on March 15 th this year. My family has owned  an office building since 1979. Back in the 80's it was common to have the parking lot snow plowed 35-40 times over the course of a winter.-ogften twice a day due to heavy snows This past winter 2 times, year before that once, and last decade or so about 5-6 times per year on average.

We are warming up.

Kamala May Already Be Lining Up Her Next Gig in Case Biden Loses, Terrifying Californians
Bob Hoge

Californians have already been living under one of the worst governors in the country for five years now—but what if an even worse one took over the reins when Gavin Newsom’s reign thankfully comes to an end in 2027?

Politico took a look at the 2026 race to succeed him and profiled many of the names who are expected to run, but it wasn’t until deep into the piece that they dropped this little detail:

Vice President Kamala Harris has joked to friends that she may return to California to run for governor if Democrats lose the White House this fall, taking a page from Richard Nixon, two people familiar with her remarks said.

“That did not happen,” Harris spokesperson Kirsten Allen told POLITICO in response. “This November, the vice president will be preparing to be inaugurated for the second term of the Biden-Harris administration.”

Nooooooo! Those are but two short paragraphs, yet as a Golden State resident, they strike fear in my heart. Haven’t we been through enough?

Which Makes Better Soldiers: DEI or Assimilation?
By Maj. Gen. Joe Arbuckle (USA, Ret.)

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is divisive, as it emphasizes differences based on race, ethnicity, biological sex, gender identities, etc., which is opposed to the time-tested, traditional military culture emphasizing unity, teamwork, selflessness, sacrifice, and assimilation into the warrior ethos.

May 1969, a commercial bus full of sleepy recruits stopped during darkness at Fort Ord, CA. Two Drill Instructors (DIs) jumped on the bus and started screaming, “get off my bus, you dirtbags, and line up outside.” A diverse assortment of now wide-awake young men lined up in four rows and then shuffled/marched to sterile appearing billets with a platoon of 50 recruits in each open bay, gray double-decker bunks with sheets and a wool blanket on both sides of an aisle running down the middle of the bay. They were awake until 0200 scrubbing the billet floors and latrine; up at 0530 the next day.

The next day they marched with DIs yelling commands, to the long quartermaster warehouse to be issued clothing and gear. But, first a stop at the barber building with a line of barbers ready to buzz hair off which they did quickly leaving about 1/4 inch on the top and almost none elsewhere.

@banddag What are you smokin' these days?  Inflation when Brandon took office was appx. 1.9%!!

True but prior actions caused the inflation. Inflation just does not happen overnight. The issues causing it was building  up and just happened to come into play n 2021

What caused the inflation mess:

1. Supply chain collapse-neither Trumps or bidens fault  but globalization and relying too much on China. Inflations classic example  is "Too much money chasing too few goods". Remember $135 sheet plywood and dealers marking up pickups 20k over dealer invoice? This is one reason why every other country had an inflation problem. not just the US everyone was relying too much on China.

2. Steve Mnuchen, Sec of Treasury under Trump begged Trump to force the Fed to SLOWLY increase the artificially low interest rates back  in 2018-2019 or he would have an inflation problem in his second term. Trump refused as he thought it would slow the economy too much. This is in Mnuchens book. These low ir rates led to a buying and construction boom causing inflation as prices skyrocketed. Remember houses selling for 100k over asking price with people bidding? Again Too much money chasing too few goods"

Trump 8 trillion dollar spending and 2.1 trillion dollar covid act was also a factor

3. . Bidens out of control spending is another major factor

Inflation is like obesity it does not happen overnight.  Why did every other country in the world have an inflation problem?

The point is of Trump was President in 2021 we still would have had the inflation problem probably not as bad but still bad.

Shocker: Reuters Discovers Trump's Super-Secret Plan to 'Control the Department of Justice'
Ed Morrissey

And that would be ... winning a presidential election.

No, seriously, that's the plan. Donald Trump becomes president, and then appoints people to set prosecutorial priorities and statutory interpretations at the Department of Justice and the FBI.

For some reason, Reuters labors under the impression that this would be the first time a president has done this:

Some of Donald Trump's allies are assembling proposals to curtail the Justice Department's independence and turn the nation's top law enforcement body into an attack dog for conservative causes, nine people involved in the effort told Reuters.

If successful, the overhaul could represent one of the most consequential actions of a second Trump presidency given the Justice Department's role in protecting democratic institutions and upholding the rule of law.

It would also mark a dramatic departure from the department's mission statement, opens new tab, which identifies "independence and impartiality" as core values.

Ahem. In fact, double ahem. The current Attorney General has demanded executive privilege over a recording of a deposition of Joe Biden in a criminal investigation. When did Special Counsel Robert Hur become a presidential advisor? At the same time, the DoJ is using another special counsel to pursue felony indictments against Joe Biden's opponent in the upcoming presidential elections, having waited nearly three years and until Trump became the clear GOP front-runner before taking any action on those cases. And let's not forget the DoJ's attempt to cut a sweetheart plea deal for the president's son that was so embarrassing that a judge threw it out and forced Merrick Garland to actually prosecute Hunter Biden.
