Title: Prayers requested for rangerrebew

rangerrebew is having surgery...I will share a little of his pms

I am having surgery Wed[tomorrow] for spinal stenosis. It may create problems for a few days, it all depends what the surgeon may find once he's in the neck and actually sees the spine.  I've asked him to correct anything he may find as I am approaching that age where doctors get nervous about cutting.

Will be  in a neck brace 6-8 weeks and they don't want me looking up or down too much or straining at the computer.  Good luck with that one.

As you can see he needs our prayers.....ranger is a true asset to TBR...he has devoted many hours posting news and all kinds of articles.....


btw...please help me with posting news if you can....

Thank you all!  Ranger is one of the most unsung heroes we have at TBR.  He posts more than Myst.

Prayers and good thoughts, I went through major cervical surgery, four disks removed and replaced so I know what he will be going through. The worst was after being intubated for so many hours it takes a long time to be able to swallow normally and being in a neck brace for two months sucks, even worse is if you have to wear a magnet for hours and hours a day like I did to promote the 'donor',cadaver, bone they used to replace the disks.

I felt pretty good the day after but have since slid down the pain measure.  Two vertebrae taken out, two others fused.  I'm not in horrible pain but am certainly aware something happened.  I had to spend the night in the hospital while the incised area drained - some of it on the bed, of course.
