Two Dead, over 20 Injured, After 3 Gunmen Open Fire in Florida

Two people were killed and more than 20 injured when three suspects in a Nissan Pathfinder pulled up beside a Florida crowd and opened fire.
NBC 4 reports the attack occurred Sunday morning about 12:30 a.m. “at the El Mula banquet hall, located at 7630 Northwest 186th Street.”
ABC 15 notes the targeted crowd was gathered outside the banquet hall, which had been “rented for a scheduled concert.”

All I read was the headlines,so I am going to GUESS the shooters were black youfs,and the guns took over control of their alleged minds and ordered them to murder people at random.
How close am I?
Ok,I have read it now,and see that I was mistaken. I didn't include the WHITE Nissan that demanded they go where it drove them,and then ordered them to open fire.
Just another tragic case of white guns and white cars murdering innocent rap fans.

At some of websites I visit perps have been described as "dark" colored if they give any color description at all. They're not fooling anybody. Especially when they post an available picture of the perps caught on cc cameras/tvs.

Mass Shooting: 2 Dead, Over 20 Injured In NW Miami-Dade
The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating a mass shooting that has killed at least two people and left more than 20 injured. According to MDPD, the shooting took place at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 7600-block of NW 186 Street.
It happened as a concert was letting out at the El Mula Banquet Hall in the Country Club Shopping Center. Investigators said a white Nissan Pathfinder with three people pulled up and opened fire with assault rifles and handguns.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded, where paramedics pronounced two victims, both males, dead on the scene. MDFR rushed eight victims to various hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward. Police said over 12 other victims transported themselves to different local hospitals.
A senior law enforcement source familiar with the investigation told CBS4’s Jim DeFede the death toll is likely to rise to as many as five as there are three victims in “extremely critical condition.”
“This is a despicable act of gun violence, a cowardly act,” said Miami-Dade Police Director Freddy Ramirez. “This type of gun violence has to stop.”
The source said video of the shooting will be released by MDPD later in the day. The video will show the white SUV sitting in the parking lot of the club for 30 to 40 minutes prior to the shooting. The SUV appears to just be waiting for the event to end. When people began to leave club, that’s when the three suspects started shooting.
According to the source, individuals in the crowd then began firing back with handguns. Police have identified “at least 100 rounds,” including the .223 style rounds fired from an assault weapon...................

Thanks for posting this. News stations seem to stick with already prepared programs on Sunday rather than reporting "new" news. I also did not know, until you posted this article, there was another shooting in Florida Friday night with one person dead and six wounded on a street outside a rented party space in the "Miami area of Wynwood".
Since you live in Florida, could you keep us up to date "when" these killers are found and arrested? I put "when" in quotes in case "when" never happens.
No matter what laws are passed, killers will still get guns. I am glad our Texas is passing the law to let people carry a gun without having a license. Now, people, especially older people, without a license can carry a weapon in a car or in a pocket or in a purse. I have a lovely purse with a special place in it, that goes with any colored clothes. We ladies do have to color coordinate our clothes - right?

Absolutely! It is difficult for me to find a purse big enough that has a 'special place in it'. Secondly, I have so many pockets in the purse that I normally carry that I have lost my keys in my darn purse a couple of times. I spent over a half an hour at a park the other day trying to find my house keys and all along they were in my purse and I had dumped my entire purse on the counter at home before heading back to the park (sigh). There was one pocket that I forgot to check.
I will try to keep you posted. Miami unfortunately has many high crime areas and there is quite a bit of 'activity' that we never hear about again. We visited downtown Miami about 10 years ago and I vowed to never go back. I was afraid for my life. We visit relatives on the East coast but they are nowhere near the Miami area.

I saw a purse at NRA? That has a split bottom for..something. That would come in handy. I just didn't feel like buying at that time. I need to see, how it hold's something, so as not to drop out. It does keep it away from inside purse stuff.

May well be why there were only 2 dead and many of the wounded drove themselves to hospital--not the mark of someone mortally wounded.

Amid grief, manhunt in Miami continues for 3 shooters
A manhunt continued into Memorial Day for three masked suspects who opened fire early Sunday morning outside a Miami banquet hall, killing two men and wounding 21 others, in a shooting authorities said had spread terror and grief through their communities.
That anguish was reinforced Monday by a grieving father who interrupted a news conference just as the Miami-Dade Police Department’s director, Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez III, was decrying the weekend’s gun violence and appealing for the community’s help in tracking down the shooters.
“You killed my kid with no reason,” the distraught man yelled out as he was escorted away from cameras. Police would later confirm that the man, Clayton Dillard, is the father of one of two 26-year-old men who were gunned down outside the banquet hall that was hosting a rap concert.
“That is the pain that you see. That is the pain that affects our community right there before you,” Ramirez said.
On Monday, police released a snippet from surveillance video that showed a white SUV driving into an alley at the strip mall housing the El Mula Banquet Hall in northwest Miami-Dade, near Hialeah. The video shows three people getting out of the vehicle, one gripping a handgun, while the other two carried what police described as “assault-style rifles.”
That’s when the gunmen sprayed bullets indiscriminately into the crowd, even though police said the assailants had specific targets in mind.
Ramirez told the Miami Herald that the shooters waited between 20 and 40 minutes before attacking shortly after midnight. Police said some in the crowd returned fire.
The video shows the three men returning moments later and driving off into the darkness. In all, 23 people were shot. In addition to the two fatalities, three others were in the hospital in critical condition. Because of privacy laws, police were not releasing the names of any of the victims.
The SUV used in the shooting was later found Monday submerged in a canal about 8 miles east of the banquet hall. Police said the vehicle was reported stolen two weeks ago................

THAT's the kind of community spirit I love to see,but they must have been bad shots too,because it seems they couldn't even hit something the size of a SUV.
BTW,those three shooters must be THE worse shots in history. How the HELL can you open fire with freaking rifles as well as a handgun into a crowd and only kill TWO people?
And I would almost be willing to bet that neither one of the ones killed were the ones they wanted to kill.
Damn shame it's not legally allowed to get set these MoFo's on fire after they are caught,so they can run down the street screaming in pain to warn others of what will happen to them if they do something similar.

I have a conceal carry purse, but the size that I need is hard to find. Montana West doesn't have a purse with a concealment pocket/zipper opening large enough for my needs.
I used to go to the gun shows to find what I needed, but purses aren't regularly carried at the shows around here anymore.

Police, families plead for info in Miami mass shooting
Officials in Miami and relatives of victims are pleading with the community for information on suspects in a shooting at a banquet hall that killed three people and wounded 20 others. Police have made no arrests.
Ashley Gantt, who is a cousin of one of the three victims — Desmond Owens — and also is representing his family as an attorney, issued a “call to action to speak up and say something” on what they know about the Memorial Day weekend shootings.

The Montana West purse holds a Ruger 38 special in the zipped space for a weapon. Also, once a side zipper is open, it is open completely through the purse to the other zipper on the other side so the space is the width of the whole purse.
