Giuliani: Bolton sacrificing his integrity 'to make a few bucks on a book'

Rudy Giuliani on Monday ripped former national security adviser John Bolton as an opportunist after a report on Bolton's forthcoming book said it contained damaging allegations against President Trump and sharp criticism of Giuliani.
Giuliani, who serves as Trump's personal attorney, leapt to the president's defense after The New York Times reported that Bolton wrote in his manuscript of an August meeting in which Trump said he did not want to release security aid for Ukraine until the country agreed to investigate his political rivals.
"There is no way in the world President Trump would say this to John Bolton," Giuliani tweeted. "It’s a shame that a man will sacrifice his integrity to make a few bucks on a book. No wonder he accomplished so little as National Security Advisor."

FWIW, my answer to the quid pro quo concerns is SO WHAT. All aid the USA provides comes with strings.

The problem with this is that the leak came from within the NSA. Bolton had submitted a draft copy of the book per the regs so they could make sure there was no sensitive or classified information in any of the chapters.
Next thing you know the NY Times has certain cherry picked sections on their front pages.
Rudy is making assumptions not based in fact on whether Bolton is "trying to make a few bucks on a book" or not.

Bolton could publicly object to his 'words' being used for the rats' political purposes. But that wouldn't help sales.

I think that's why the letter/statement was put out by his lawyer. That's their "objection".

But he was impeached because of the attempt. It is seen as quid pro quo; trying to 'buy' and force another government to do something. However -- Bondi has turned the tables as she revealed the corruption on Biden AND Obama.

And, if Ukraine were to attack internal corruption it must uncover corruption at the highest levels, necessarily that would include the previous corrupt administrations of both countries. :whistle:
Protecting US aid dollars to Ukraine before releasing it was simply the president carrying out his job, and faithfully it appears—tackling a problem other administrations ignored.
