If so it will be after 5 when the major news casts and commentators are already off the air for the week. They will let it perk until Monday, at which time Jay Carney will call the whole thing "old news" and announce that the President has taken definitive action and fixed the problem at VA.
End of story.

Because if they dump him late on Friday, they can declare the entire mess "old news, and heap praise on Obama for acting decisively and fixing the problems at VA once and for all.

I agree on a Friday news dump firing, but I think next week - the 6th. D-day anniversary, so even less interest in the news dump than usual.

Not only on a Friday, but in addition to Shinseki, they threw Jay Carney into the mix too. Now everyone's blabbering so much about Carney they aren't even paying attention to Shinseki.
