They're Waking Up (to Obama)

By Ross Kaminsky on 11.12.13 | 11:43PM

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows President Obama with his lowest approval ratings ever in this series of polls, along with a massive jump in the percentage of Americans who believe Obama is untrustworthy.

Quotes from the press release:

Quote
"American voters disapprove 54 - 39 percent of the job President Barack Obama is doing, his lowest approval rating in any Quinnipiac University national poll since he became president, as even women disapprove 51 - 40 percent, according to a national poll released today."

"Voters in every income and age group disapprove of the job Obama is doing, with the biggest disapproval, 59 - 36 percent, among voters over 65 years old."

"For the first time today, American voters say 52 - 44 percent that Obama is not honest and trustworthy. His previous lowest marks on honesty were May 30, when 49 percent of voters said he was honest and 47 percent said he wasn't."

The poll also suggets continuing widespread dissatisfaction with Obamacare, with a split opinion on whether President Obama "knowingly deceived" Americans with his promise that people could keep their insurance plans.

Just to prove that certain people live in alternate universe, or, to give it a more charitable explanation, that politics is more about your team than good ideas or even good leadership, "Democrats approve 79 - 14 percent. White voters disapprove 62 - 32 percent while black voters approve 75 - 15 percent and Hispanic voters disapprove by a slim 47 - 41 percent margin."

Let's just hold off on the "I told you so"s, which are, after all, much too easy -- and clearly Democrats aren't listening anyway.

Things had to be bad for him to speak yesterday.

And worse, methinks, after he spoke.

He's going to have to come up with more freebies to bring those numbers up.
