Hey! *bouche*  With recruiting being so bad, the AF could get rid of the fuelers to other fields and just let the pilots fuel their own aircraft!

Powell and Yellen should have been ousted long ago.  The economy is in rough shape as it is -- this is right before the election too. Not a good thing for ole Joe.

USAF preparing its F-35 pilots to carry out basic maintenance and refueling chores
Posted on April 27, 2024 by alert5

The US Air Force recently conducted a training exercise focused on Independent Pilot Off-Station Procedures (IPOP) for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft. Held at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, on Apr. 1st, the exercise aimed to equip F-35 pilots with the skills necessary to operate in austere environments with limited support personnel.

U.S. Air Force Capt. Matthew Brown, an F-35 assistant program manager assigned to the 59th Test and Evaluation Squadron, refuels an F-35 Lightning II as part of independent pilot off-station procedures (IPOP) at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, April 1, 2024. Exercises such as IPOP allow pilots the opportunity to learn maintenance and refueling techniques, extending operational range. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Brianna Vetro)

Pilots from the 422nd and 59th Test and Evaluation Squadrons (TES) participated in the IPOP training. The exercise curriculum included practicing basic maintenance procedures, such as post-flight inspections, and refueling techniques. By mastering these skills, F-35 pilots can potentially extend the operational range of their aircraft and improve mission flexibility, particularly when deployed to locations with limited ground crew support.

Especially in light of Biden's latest anti-coal move.

W.VA Coal  jobs decreased every year under Trump but are up under Biden due to exporting.  13k coal jobs in W.va versus  73k gas jobs in WVa.

Air Force veteran joined the Russian military after being caught impersonating his commander
FEATUREDWIB CULTUREWIB POLITICS April 12, 2024 Staff Writer

HOLYOKE — More videos have surfaced purportedly showing former Holyoke city councilor — and one-time Air National Guard member — Wilmer Puello-Mota fighting for the Russian military against Ukraine.

The video circulating on the social media site Telegram from pro-Russian media outlets purportedly shows 28-year-old Puello-Mota signing a contract at a center in Khanty-Mansiysk in Western Siberia.

In January, Puello-Mota fled the country ahead of a scheduled court date in a Rhode Island criminal case where he is accused of possessing child pornography.

A pro-Kremlin correspondent who first shared the clip said Puello-Mota was given an initial one-time payout of 745,000 rubles (about $8,060). Thereafter, his pay will be 150,000 rubles ( about $1,621) every two months he’s in the Russian military, according to Latvian news website Meduza. The story was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Aric Toler of the New York Times.

In whose world?

In my day generally, 12 months was considered the end.  Still is in dog shows, except many specialties still have special 18mo classes whereas AKC all-breed never does.  Especially for small dogs but even most big dogs cannot really distinguish between a 1yo and 5yo.  Heck many of them look fully mature at 6mos.

If it’s a hunting dog it had to have some kind of conditioning, perhaps real training.

Don’t know the full story here but se la vie.  Sounds like farm living to me.

Seems like it would have been better to give the dog to somebody with a completely different environment than around chickens or livestock.

Even "Commander" wasn't put down after biting dozens of Democrats.

Fed just flipped. BofA warns of surprise rate hike.

Reventure Consulting

Apr 27, 2024

Economists from Bank of America just warned that the Federal Reserve might not cut interest rates until March 2025. With other news outlets speculating that the next Fed move might actually be a rate hike.

The prospect of Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates higher for longer. And potentially increasing rates is a worrying prospect for the US economy. It means that home prices and stock prices could have downward pressure as 2024 goes on due to higher borrowing costs.

It also means that the economy is also not fully out of the woods. With the prospect of recession and economic slowdown still lurking around the corner.

14 months old is still considered a puppy. I bet they gave that dog zero training since they got it.

Idiot woman. I wanted her for President at one time.

No it is not. a pup is under a year. More like an adolescent. And months of oporotunity for the dog to correct behavior.

All of which doesn't matter. The dog caused harm, and caused harm to someone else's property.
You don't keep that around. You don't encourage those genes.

It is the cause against another's property that probably most justifies the dog being put down... Interaction between neighbors would demand it (along with restitution)... Followed by justification in that the dog attacked its owner, followed finally by the blood lust. Any one would be cause to put the dog down.

Things are different in S. Dakota as opposed to those living in the city, suburbs and probably even rural areas.  I get that so, I'm not going to pass judgement on her. I just think that it was odd for her to mention it in her book; though I haven't read it.  I'm going by what the press is saying.

This is not enough to stop me from voting for her.  From her record, she's pretty conservative.
