Julián Castro announces 2020 White House bid

Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro (D) announced Saturday that he will launch a bid for the White House in 2020.
"I am a candidate for President of the United States of America," he said.
Castro, 44, had long been rumored to be in the running for president, after sitting out the 2018 Texas gubernatorial and Senate elections.
The former Obama-era housing chief announced last month that he was forming an exploratory committee for a possible 2020 presidential run. If elected, he would be the country's first Hispanic president.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) acknowledged in introducing his twin brother Saturday that he would join a crowded Democratic field, but pitched him as the best option.

Castro knew he wouldn't defeat Cruz in all likelihood for Senate and so he didn't run and Castro had a good idea, he'd run for President. He didn't want that loss on his record. Castro made O'Rourke a sort of star after all of that.
I heard in the past, first debate is in March. So, that's why all of these folks are coming out now.

Why don’t they just draw lots and save the DNC a ton of money. Their candidates are all interchangeable, anyway. All equally clueless how to make America safer, stronger and more prosperous.
Democrats. Without them, how would we distinguish who the winners are?

Hoolian was so proud that only two generations after his grandmother came to America as a seven year old orphan, one of her grandsons is in Congress and the other is running for President. And Hoolian wants to change this country that allowed that to happen. Why Hoolian, why?

God help us if he gets the nomination. I had a hunch he was going to run and have mentioned him several times. He to me, is a huge threat not only to the GOP but to the country. IMHO he has the ability to turn TX blue.
His mother was a Chicana political activist who helped establish the Chicano political party La Raza Unida.

He will undoubtedly bring in the Hispanic vote, the votes of the progressive left and I believe that they WILL have illegals voting.
