Florida Parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz sentenced to life in prison
Cruz pleaded guilty to killing 17 in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School attack

Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz has been sentenced Wednesday to life in prison after pleading guilty to killing 14 students and three staff members during 2018’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The punishment handed down to the Florida 24-year-old comes following two days of emotional and fiery impact statements from the families of the victims, who told Cruz he will "burn in hell" and "die as nothing."
Judge Elizabeth Scherer sentenced Cruz to 17 life terms for the victims he killed, and another 17 for the people who he attempted to kill.
"I know you are going to be OK, because you have each other," Scherer said to the families of those who died in the attack, as well as those wounded who testified during the trial.

Why is he getting a life sentence??? 9999hair out0000 34 Consecutive Life Sentences! He should get 1/2 hour to prepare himself for execution and be done with it!

That's a fact. Outside of the justice of it, bullets are cheap. This guy will be in the shoe for basically his whole life, to keep him out of gen-pop where he would be murdered outright... that means the highest security, and the highest cost. Per year. For decades.
That just can't be afforded.
When it comes to aggravated rapes and murders, where there are no extenuating circumstance, these should be taken out back and dropped like a dog. Done.
