Each result is based on a three-day rolling average
Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.

And yet he had similar approval numbers in October 2011, and got easily reelected a year later.
He's Teflon. He's raising money, and berating the do-nothing congress daily.
Republicans ought to focus on one thing only, which is winning the Senate in November.
But even if they do, they should anticipate that Obama will say that nothing is changed, he'll do what he can without them, etc.
They can sue him, they can impeach him. But he'll serve out his term, so the most probable outcome is working with him on some issues.

Because they enjoy being told they have a right to things they haven't earned, at the expense of people whose relative success they resent.
