Congressional leaders appeared to have reached a two-year spending deal Wednesday that would boost the budget by nearly $300 billion over the next two years, with the Pentagon’s budget rising $80 billion and domestic spending by $63 billion in 2018 alone.

White House legislative chief Marc Short told reporters he expected Senate leaders to announce the deal later in the day.

The numbers had been the sticking point as lawmakers went through last month’s shutdown showdown. Republicans wanted a major military increase, and Democrats had insisted that must be matched dollar-for-dollar with domestic spending.

Democrats, who don’t control either chamber of Congress, fell short on that demand, but still managed a massive increase of nearly 80 percent of the Pentagon’s number.

The good news is that it's without DACA.

I'm surprised domestic spending wasn't set to rise by the much just based on entitlements - or is this another $63B on top of that?
