George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley reacted to a Washington, D.C. federal judge ordering the Mueller team to surrender documents surrounding the questioning of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who ultimately was indicted on charges of lying to federal agents.

Flynn said the FBI's then-Deputy Director Andy McCabe suggested the Trump adviser not bring a lawyer to the questioning.

Turley called the move by McCabe "highly irregular," and credited U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan's decision, saying the Clinton appointee is a well-respected, "very good judge."

President Trump also reacted, telling Harris Faulkner that Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team were "embarrassed they got caught" railroading Flynn.

Turley said it is custom for the feds to notify the White House Counsel -- at that time, Donald McGahn -- and go through the proper channels to interview someone like Flynn.
