From the article….

While Cleveland was a Democrat, he resembled President Trump in many ways

Umm……no

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grover_Cleveland#:~:text=His%20crusade%20for%20political%20reform,the%20principles%20of%20classical%20liberalism.

While governor, he closely cooperated with state assembly minority leader Theodore Roosevelt to pass reform measures, winning national attention.[1] He led the Bourbon Democrats, a pro-business movement opposed to high tariffs, free silver, inflation, imperialism, and subsidies to business, farmers, or veterans. His crusade for political reform and fiscal conservatism made him an icon for American conservatives of the time.[2] Cleveland also won praise for honesty, self-reliance, integrity, and commitment to the principles of classical liberalism.[3]

Romney: ‘You don’t pay someone $130,000 not to have sex with you’
by Alexander Bolton - 04/24/24 9:11 AM ET

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) says no one is buying the story that former President Trump didn’t have a sexual relationship with adult film actor Stormy Daniels, quipping to CNN: “you don’t pay someone $130,000 not to have sex with you.”

Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, paid Daniels a week and a half before the 2016 election to stay quiet about her alleged relationship with Trump.

Daniels later described to Anderson Cooper and “60 Minutes” having sex with Trump in a hotel suite after meeting him at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in 2006.

Trump later denied having an affair with Daniels and his legal team threatened to sue her for violating a non-disclosure agreement.

Republican Dave McCormick, Democrat Bob Casey Officially Clinch Pennsylvania Senate Nominations

Nick Gilbertson 23 Apr 2024

Republican businessman Dave McCormick and Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) formally clinched their parties’ respective nominations for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania on Tuesday night after both men ran unopposed.

They will square off in what will be one of the most closely-watched U.S. Senate races of the year. Casey’s seat marks a prime pick-up opportunity for McCormick and Republicans, who look to take back a Senate majority in 2024.

Despite having no competitors in the primary, McCormick’s dedication was on full display Tuesday as he campaigned across the state, starting in Bucks County in the east and finishing in Pittsburgh out west.

Paul Ryan Praises Speaker Johnson for Allowing Democrats to Seize House

Wendell Husebø 24 Apr 2024

Paul Ryan, a member of the Fox Corporation Board of Directors, praised House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for permitting Democrats to seize control of the House last week.

Democrats steamrolled Johnson by successfully pushing Biden administration’s agenda through the House. Johnson gave Biden “pretty much everything” Biden asked for “without having to concede much in return,” Punchbowl reported.

The Democrat victory was a reminder of how some Republicans often decline to use their capacity to push conservative policies popular with the base. Democrats often appear to use their power without qualms.

Johnson “found his footing, and his voice. … [H]e did it as a statesman, risking his own personal political fortune for the greater good that he believes in,” Ryan told Axios Tuesday.

The former House Speaker’s opinion appears to represent the mainstream establishment opinion of Johnson’s historic maneuver, but it does not represent many conservatives.

“A party unable to bring its agenda to the floor for a vote is no longer a functional majority,” Brendan Buck, a top staffer to Ryan, recently wrote in a New York Times op-ed.

Ryan’s comment comes as he holds significant influence within the Fox Corporation Board of Directors. Ryan, a board member since March 2019, serves as the chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee at the Fox Corporation.

His authority includes establishing “broad corporate policies,” setting “strategic direction,” and overseeing “management identification and management of risks,” according to Fox Corporation.

Ryan’s position raises questions about why his opinions are not disclosed to viewers during Fox News and Fox Business media coverage.

He caved because he’s weak and unprincipled and, like the rest of the GOP establishment, doesn’t care what Republican voters think.
