Title: Royal Wedding: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
Post by: libertybele on May 18, 2018, 12:18:56 pm
Tomorrow is the big day for the 'Royal Couple'.  I don't remember there being such focus since Princess Di.

I'm leaving my TV off. The networks are all covering this live, because a wild-man prince who has no chance of sniffing the throne marrying a person who has all the disqualifications that Wallis Simpson had 80 years ago is not worth my, or anyone else's, time.

I may just set up a live broadcast doing something, anything, to give people something else to watch.

It's "Couldn't care less," and I didn't know there was something going on tomorrow.

"I Could Care Less"? Dammit people. Let's get it together. It's "I Couldn't Care Less".

@Cyber Liberty

I can’t even argue with you because you made correct use of that phrase. Huge bonus points.

I admit it, I’ve always loved England and English history.  For me these displays of royal pageantry are beautiful old traditions of Western civilization.

My ancestry is largely English.  The weather over there is sunny and in the 60s; here it’s endless monsoon, 80 degrees and humid as a jungle.  Makes me almost wish they hadn’t jumped on that boat.

I’m loving William and Harry together.  Harry stopped outside the chapel to talk with some soldiers and apparently introduce them to William.

He’s going bald just like his older brother...hope he doesn’t lose his looks, too.

I'm also a huge Anglophile, @CatherineofAragon  But I can't fault one of my ancestors, at least...he was put on the boat by his uncle after his father was burned at the stake!

Gee...I stand corrected.   :shrug:  It's a good thing we have you to keep us in line Frank.

Amazing.

We fought an 8 year war so we wouldn't have to care about whose offspring and what kind of people their parents were, was going to Own us in a few years.

The only thing in England that matters today is the FA Cup Final.
