Let's have some fun with tomorrow nights Oscars. A little break from politics.
Up to two votes per person, allowed.
-
I haven't seen any of them and I don't care.

I haven't seen any of them and don't plan on seeing any. I for sure am not going to watch the Academy telecast.

I'm not watching either. The only movie I did see was "Lion" on New Years Eve with my mom. It was the best movie I've seen in years. Seriously.

I voted twice----I took the last two choices, lol.
Haven't watched awards shows in a long time. And pictures of the fashions are always available next day. ^-^
-
I ain't playing the game ...but I will say this about the only movie I saw on the list.. Hacksaw Ridge. It was a moving story about a true hero. Not worthy of an Oscar in any category.
That being said. Watch the movie.
-
Voted for Arrival, which should win and La La Land, which will win. ^-^
-
Not trying to be a hardass or tell anyone else what to do,but I don't give a damn if all of them lose.
Truth to tell, there are damn few,if any,of them as good as a lot of episodic tv these days. I can't remember the last time,if ever, that Hollywood produced a movie as good as any random episode of "Breaking Bad,Deadwood,The Americans,The Following,The Vikings,The Walking Dead,Outlander, etc, etc, etc.
Hollywood is dead. All that is lacking is someone throwing dirt over it.
-
If I cared I would have voted for Hacksaw Ridge, wihch is based on a TRUE story, but since I don't that's how I voted.
-
I'm pretty much not caring either, honestly. I was just tired of politics for the weekend.
I also agree with @CatherineofAragon the fashions are available the next day.
It seems sad though, at least to me, the glamour of old Hollywood dresses is long gone.
I just hope the tributes to last years departed are good and worthy.

@sneakypete
I have to agree with that. I'm surprised every time they manage to make a decent movie that isn't a remake or a sequel of something. TV has the good writing now.

The Oscars hasn't been the same since Joan Rivers passed.
She made the red carpet interesting, to put it mildly.

Hollywood made at least some of those TV serials. For me, even if I like a series (such as Breaking Bad) I get bored, and want to move on.
My wife and I go to movies, for dinner-date nights.
We saw Fences, Hacksaw Ridge and La La Land of this year's nominees.
All good, but La La Land is just good, olde fashioned entertainment without blood, guts, profanity, sex, nudity etc.
Nicely made on a modest budget, by people other than established big shots, as well.

The Oscars will suck more than anything has ever sucked before.

I predict that Office Christmas Party sweeps the Oscars this year. Bank on it.
