Construction Begins for Gates to Border Wall

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Construction of the border wall begins along the Rio Grande Valley Sector. In this case only the gates are going up. Residents say it will help decrease drug smuggling happening through their backyards.
The U.S. Border Patrol RGV Sector was awarded a contract of about $4 million to construct border wall gates for gaps. The area of responsibility for these gates are the responsibility of the Harlingen, Fort Brown, and Brownsville Border Patrol Stations.

Is it an electric fence? Maybe that's the big beautiful door? It sure doesn't look anything like the panels they constructed in the beginning.

The only immigrants Trump wanted out, or not to come in were the criminal ones. He has always promoted touchback amnesty. Maybe people weren't listening. People thinking that he is limiting Asylum? No, all those people in the caravan are getting numbers. They are being processed. Yes in Mexico but they are processing asylum something like 100 per day.

The Border Wall in areas of The Rio Grande Valley may be miles from the border.
"Once installed, the gates will serve as a persistent impediment to smuggling organizations while still allowing river access for property owners, (law enforcement agents) and local emergency responders," the government said in a news release. "The RGV Sector remains an area of high illegal cross border activity."
