Those of you like rock and roll guitar and have never heard of Link Wray are in for a REAL treat. This is the guy that invented "wah,wah" guitar,and was playing rock and roll in 1955 with his group,"Link Wray and the Wraymen". He was an Indian from NC,and didn't respond well to the yankee record producers telling him what to write and play,or his career would have been bigger. He died just a few years ago,and was still touring when he died. There are a BUNCH of famous rock and rollers who credit him with inspiring them.
.
Here is his album from the early 70's,produced with the help of admirers. The Link Wray "Rumble" album should be a part of everyone's record collection,but good luck finding a new one now. I had to buy mine (wore out the first two) from some guy in Holland maybe 10 years ago,and paid right at 100 bucks for it. Yeah,I'm a fan.

What the hell? Might as well throw in "Backwoods Preacher Man" while I'm at it.

@Sighlass
Link Wray was doing it in the 50's. On purpose.
