Should people believe James Clapper?

On May 15th, the Toronto Star ran an article on the front page by AP quoting James Clapper: “U.S. democracy ‘under assault’ from Trump and Russia, former intelligence director says “

    “I think, in many ways, our institutions are under assault, both externally — and that’s the big news here, is the Russian interference in our election system,” said James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence. “I think as well our institutions are under assault internally.”

He's a proven liar. Only a fool would believe him at this point.

Didn't believe him when he was director, not gonna start now.

Not that he outright lied terribly often - he's just so damned stupid he needs a handler to remind him to breathe.
