Stefanik defends speech at Israel's Knesset torching Biden, Democrats: 'Equivocation after equivocation'

House Republican Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., on Sunday defended a recent speech she delivered to the Israeli Knesset in Jerusalem, torching President Biden’s "betrayal of the importance of the U.S.-Israel alliance."

Stefanik, who is meeting with Israeli leaders at the same time Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan is also visiting Jerusalem, appeared on "Fox News Sunday" after speaking at the parliament building. Fox News host Shannon Bream asked the third-highest ranking House Republican if the concept broadly adopted in the 1940s of leaving partisan politics at the water’s edge and minority leaders refraining from criticizing a sitting American president while abroad was now "out the door."

But the congresswoman, reportedly on former President Trump's 2024 VP shortlist, shot back that she had been "invited to talk about my work when it comes to combating antisemitism and my strong record when it comes to U.S./Israel support."

"The world needs to know, and Israel needs to know, that the House Republican majority stands strongly with Israel," Stefanik said. "That this equivocation, this weak, failed leadership that we are seeing from Joe Biden, that’s not where the American people are, that’s not where the United States Congress is. And it’s not reflective of the legislation that we passed that Joe Biden signed into law. So, it is important for the world to hear. The world is looking for moral leadership, Shannon. And it’s important that House Republicans step up to fill that void, which we have under Speaker Johnson’s leadership." .................

I also remember that when I was younger that no stores were open on Sundays, but typically we'd go over to my grandparents house for dinner once or twice a month on Sundays.

George's Market was open on Sundays... So if we had a real need, we were not without... But closed on Saturdays - They were Jewish. Worked out nice.

I remember when I 10 or so...that after Mass we came home and didn't leave the house in observance of Sunday....plus the factor that there were NO stores open to go to.

Who flies a helicopter in thick fog??? Maybe the fog came on all of a sudden ... but you would think that they would have checked the weather forecast ahead of time.  But .... the sniffer dogs have been called in.... :whistle:

Thick fog hampers efforts to find Iran's president after reported helicopter crash

EAST AZERBAIJAN PROVINCE, Iran – Rescue teams are searching for the helicopter carrying Iran's President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi after it reportedly crashed Sunday amid heavy fog.

The president and foreign minister were flying through the mountains in the northwest of the country after a dam inauguration with the president of Azerbaijan.

The spokesperson for Iran's Emergency Services said that the fog is making air rescue efforts "impossible." The remote rugged terrain in the mountainous region near the country's border with Azerbaijan has slowed the 46 rescue crews, eight ambulances, drones and sniffer dogs. Local media also reported heavy rain and cold temperatures in the area.

The interior minister confirmed on state-run TV that one of the helicopters of the president's convoy was forced to make "a hard landing."...............

@libertybele

If this were a Tom Clancy novel...Mossad took down the copter, put everyone to sleep ala "Goldfinger" at Fort Knox, and kidnapped the MFer back to Tel Aviv...cut off an ear and are parcel posting it to Teheran for further instructions on the October 7th hostages.   :patriot:
