You won’t see it on any of the alphabet networks, but a protest movement is exploding in the Netherlands after the government moved to shut down farms in order to “fight” climate change. The contentious move, pushed by the World Economic Forum, was enacted as part of an EU agreement that seeks to limit the release of nitrogen.

Of all the aspects of the green agenda, none is more damaging and suicidal than putting in arbitrary provisions that limit the production of food across the globe. I’m not in support of targeting anything to “lower emissions” because I believe it’s spitting into the wind to make wealthy elites feel better about their lifestyles. Yet, even if I did support that agenda, the last place that should be targeted is the food sector. While European leaders are virtue signaling about the temperature possibly rising a few degrees over the next hundred years, they should be concerned about feeding their populations before their countries descend into apocalyptic chaos.
But this is the way these European nations operate, specifically those that are in the EU. They are run by privileged, spoiled brats who don’t bother to weigh the costs of their policies because they assume the United States will jump in to save them if things ever get too bad. That’s obviously true regarding NATO considering how little the European members spend compared to the US, but it’s also true regarding energy and food.

The ozone layer has not disappeared and we've been using these fertilizers for a long time.
The argument about contributing to global warming is just as specious. Malinkovitch cycle and Maunder Minimum are beyond man's control and are the principal causes of temperature changes.
Eliminating fertilizers will reduce crop production so who lives and who dies?

Nitrogen oxides don’t destroy the ozone layer. They create smog - the brown haze that used to swallow LA, and still swallows Chinese and Indian cities today - and acid rain.

FYI: 32.5% urea
It's called Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). This additive is also called aqueous urea solution 32% or AUS 32. It's made from 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water
....to reduce emissions...without it a newer diesel will not run.

As an anecdotal aside...
I have recently listened to two different refugees from two different socialist dictatorships... One from Cuba, and another from North Korea. In BOTH cases, the refugee was nearly weeping with joy over the taste of steak. In both cases they said that cattle are titled (like a car) in their former countries. That the government wholly controls the sale of cattle (to include a death cert and distribution records thereafter).
Distribution and sales are controlled to make beef extremely rare in local markets and too expensive for commoners. It seems to be a pattern.
That may put a different twist on the motive in this case.

Now I am beginning to wonder whether the new restrictions on fuel oil enacted by the International Maritime Organization may still have some work stoppage to protest? If there is, this would be calamitous on worldwide trade.
With the burgeoning cost of fuel for shipping, there is likely pushback in the mandated (and costly) fuel requirements.
I think we could all use a good old-fashioned climate fight, eh?

In the Netherlands the government is planning on FORCING farmers to sell their farms to the state to meet climate goals.
In Belgium they are talking about an "environment tax" on meat.
The EU just decided to BAN new diesel and petrol cars from 2035.

From the look of the tractor driver, looks like some of the farmers are not simple Dutch folks either.

Fertilizer in soil can result in nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions, not nitrogen oxide (NO) emissions. Big difference. N2O doesn't cause smog nor does it create acid rain. But it is an ozone killer and a greenhouse gas.
The obvious solution here is to use slow-release fertilizer, not to starve the planet.
