Golfer With Six-Stroke Lead Ejected From Major PGA Tourney—on Live TV (Watch)

This story just infuriates the heck out of me.
Jon Rahm was in the middle of playing golf in the PGA’s Memorial Tournament. He had a six-stroke lead, on a real tear with 18 under par, equal to the tournament record for the lowest, three-round score.
He was making amazing shots like this one.

With such a big lead and playing on such a level, he was on track to win the almost $1.7 million prize.
But in the middle of the tournament, live on-air, officials came up to him and told him he would have to withdraw because he had tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus.
This is just heartbreaking.

I know next to nothing about golf,but isn't a 6 point lead a pretty substantial lead when it comes to competing with other pros?
I hope he sues the HELL out of the PGA.
Losing law suits is the only thing that will stop this nonsense.

Rahm got screwed again - another supposedly positive Covid test knocked him out of the Olympics, where he would have represented Spain. Also knocked out of the golf Olympic competition by a probably false test result was the USA's Bryson deChambeau. (Not to worry, American Xander Schauffele ended up winning the gold medal in golf).

Paula Reto had secured a spot in the Olympic Games representing South Africa after Lee-Anne Pace and Ashleigh Buhai withdrew from Toyko. She took a COVID-19 test for the Olympics while competing last week in the Amundi Evian Championship and learned at 10 p.m. on Saturday evening that she’d tested positive.
She was tied for 40th at the Evian through three rounds and was forced to withdraw from both a major championship and the Tokyo Games. ...
And it only got worse really, as she took four additional tests after that and tested negative for each. Reto, who had COVID-19 back in March and was fully vaccinated as of Sunday of Evian, missed out on both a major and the Olympics because of a bad test. ...
