To me, this was always more of a situation of if and not wen.

July 16, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Planned Parenthood removed Dr. Leana Wen as president Tuesday citing the need for a more aggressive leader, less than a year after appointing her, in a move that came as something of a surprise to Wen herself.
The New York Times reports that the abortion giant’s board made the decision after “hours of negotiations,†based on unrest within the organization and a perceived need for a “more aggressive political leader†to resist pro-life legislative efforts across the country.
Planned Parenthood has not settled on a long-term successor, but the board unanimously chose longtime member Alexis McGill Johnson as interim president of both the organization’s abortion business and its political arm, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

Wen seemed a bit "aloof" you know, from plugging it like there past presidents did that I have seen. Cecil Richards? That was what she was I believe.

A woman whose mission in life is to literally sell abortion was apparently not radical enough for Planned Parenthood.
As reported by The Daily Wire on Tuesday, the country's largest abortion provider abruptly kicked president Leana Wen to the curb after just 10 months at the helm reportedly because Wen refused to say men can get pregnant and wasn't aggressive enough pushing the life-ending procedure.
"Two sources told us that Wen also refused to use 'trans-inclusive' language, for example saying 'people' instead of 'women,' telling staff that she believed talking about transgender issues would 'isolate people in the Midwest,'" BuzzFeed News reporter Ema O'Connor said via Twitter Tuesday evening. ...
According to a report from The New York Times, sources claimed “there had been internal strife over [Wen’s] management, and that the group felt it needed a more aggressive political leader to fight the efforts to roll back access to abortions.â€
In other words, Wen was not pushing abortion as aggressively as the taxpayer-funded abortion business would like, in addition to allegedly refusing to say men can get pregnant, a biological fallacy. ...

New interim Planned Parenthood president has a history of aborting the truth

I saw it coming from the first interview on her first day. Dr. Leana Wen was robotic. She didn’t have the poise of her Planned Parenthood predecessor, Cecile Richards. Both enjoyed hostility-free media interviews, of course, but Richards had some charisma. Wen had none. Richards could lie with such finesse. Wen wasn’t believable. ...
So after 8 months inside the leadership womb of Planned Parenthood, Dr. Wen’s role was – ironically – aborted.
Enter Alexis McGill-Johnson, the activist they’ve been looking for. She’s much more adept at public speaking. She’s of multiracial descent but gives Planned Parenthood what it’s been longing for since its previous African-American president Faye Wattleton – someone to try to dispel the truth of the organization’s unaltered racist DNA. ...
She declared that pro-life efforts to end the injustice of abortion were “the same as those who brought us poll taxes and literacy tests.†So, prolifers are like racists, which is strange since I don’t recall any effort by [presumably white] racists to save black lives – you know, the ones dying at far higher rates than any other demographic. More black babies have been aborted in NYC (for years) than born alive, but the “racists†are the ones trying to stop what Fannie Lou Hamerconsidered to be genocide in the black community? ...

He's been on MSNBC and was treared cordially, I guess skin color is of importance there.
And otherwise, a solid voice within the prolife movement.

Didn't push abortion stridently enough, tried, apparently, to push something close to actual healthcare? Can her!!!
Besides, she's a second-class minority, not a good look for Progs.
