‘Jersey Shore’ sleeps with the fishes

After consuming every last drop of Red Bull and vodka in the entire state of New Jersey, there is nothing left for the cast of “Jersey Shore” to do.
After six seasons, MTV is turning off the techno music for Snooki, J-WOWW, The Situation, Pauly D, Deena, Vinny, Ronnie and Sammi, the network said in a statement Thursday.
Ever since The Situation went to rehab and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi decided to procreate, the future of the booze-soaked reality series was up in the air, since it would be far less entertaining with two (hopefully) sober cast members.
The network decided to continue with a sixth and final season, which premieres Oct. 4.
