Activists demand feds provide free tampons in all school bathrooms to combat ‘period poverty’

Access to free tampons is a civil right.
That’s the argument from a group of activists who are expected to put out a full-page ad in The Washington Post today demanding that U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos* create programs to provide free feminine hygiene products in all school bathrooms across the nation.
A news release published by the activists argues that students who cannot afford tampons and pads must often skip school, thus they are “denied equal learning opportunities.â€

I think the feds should provide each student with 2 rolls of toilet paper each week to fend off poop poverty. They should also provide toothpaste to fight off tooth poverty. The might also provide laundry soap to create germ poverty. Actually, a new car for all students to fight off foot poverty would be nice. :tongue2:
