Climate Change Dispatch by Hannah Bleau on Aug 13, 2020
While climate change remains among the least important issues for Americans moving into the 2020 election, it remains a central piece in the Democrat Party’s overall platform, and Harris’s vision is just as radical as those of Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — champions of the Green New Deal.
“We must have and adopt a Green New Deal,†Harris said during a debate last summer. “On day one as president, I would reenter us in the Paris Agreement and put it in place so we would be carbon neutral by 2030.â€
That same summer, Harris teamed up with Ocasio-Cortez to advance the “Climate Equity Act,†which would rate economic regulations “based on its impact on low-income communities, which are disproportionately affected by climate change because they are often in flood zones, near highways or power plants, or adjacent to polluted lands known as brownfields,†according to the New York Times.
Harris doubled down on her radical positions during CNN’s Climate Change Town Hall last September, expressing support for both banning plastic straws and creating incentives to end the use of single-use plastic altogether.

Limit red meat? Oh, Hell NO! 888mouth
-
FWIW, Musk has done more Green stuff through private enterprise than Biden ever did in his entire career as a Senator..
-
As for the red meat, I know a lot of people who have cut it out or limited it in their diets. But THEY made the decision to do so, (or the doctor urged them to). Big Brother didn’t tell them to.
Personally, I’m one who did, but the doctor advised me to. I have it maybe three or four times a year.
-
Didn't she come out and say the FEDGOV should determine what foods and how much we eat?

Of course, there is a picture of her in the article eating a pork chop.....

888high58888 Who in the hell does she think she is? This absurdity needs to really stop. There are many lean cuts of red meat that are nearly as lean as a dang chicken breast. Leaner cuts have the words "round" or "loin" in the name. (Chart @ link) I purchase Angus beef, and I love grilling (God forbid I'm polluting my back yard air) on the charcoal b'que a nice melt-in-your-mouth Filet Mignon or a tasty Top Sirloin steak and once in awhile even lean hamburgers.

You need a better doctor. Read up on The Carnivore Diet.

Hmmm... They DO make metal reusable straws now; ick!!! Really, do I want to clean a straw?? And I've tried vegan burgers; weird beet juice as "blood" and their known to be pretty salty. (High blood pressure!) There will always be "commune folks" out there, but it's a choice after all. The global warming has accumulated since the industrial age began, so one less plastic straw thrown in a heap or cow saved won't make much of a difference!
-
Of course Kamala wants to limit red meat.
She prefers a darker variety...
(runnin' and hidin'...)

Not just food, but energy as well. This new Lysenkoism will not end well. Americans will not be subjected to another Holodomor like the Ukranians were.

I do not think this Harris the Moderate thing will work out quite as well as the rats intend.
Voter fraud will be the real challenge this election.

I used a paper straw this weekend. It was fine for about 5-10 minutes, then it started to disintegrate.
No thanks.
Btw, how is Junior supposed to open his box of juice, without a plastic straw to puncture the top?

That whole line of thought is so weird. I have never seen juice in a box in my whole life 😅

Maybe you just walked by them and didn't see (the pouches use plastic straws, too)

Lessee...nope, not next to the toilet paper, coffee, flour, or salt (unless it's a really small store).

LOL! It makes for a laugh, but it's true. I can't recall going down the beverage aisles at all, except heading for the beer fridge. And all I see on the way there is the wine. :seeya:
Now I have had frozen juice and lemonade as a decent replacement for fresh squeezed out of season... But then I ain't much of a juice guy in the first place. Lemonade, yeah, and what I do I do fresh squeezed or frozen.
