Awakening Gays to the Horror of Islam
When will “Gays for Gaza” die?
August 5, 2026
It happened after the massacre on June 12, 2016, in which a jihadist named Omar Mateen murdered 49 people and wounded 58 at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando. It happened after the shooting on June 25, 2022, in which an ISIS member killed two people and wounded 21 outside a gay bar in Oslo. And it happened again the other day, when a wannabe soldier of ISIS, Abdul Ballout, killed one person and wounded twenty-nine at Berlin Pride.
What happened after these and other such atrocities was this: spokespeople for so-called LGBTQIA+ organizations demanded that these actions not be “politicized” and insisted that they had nothing to do with Islam – Muslims, after all, being, like the alphabet people, fellow objects of oppression, and thus natural allies.
But something else happened after these events, too. Commentators who know Islam for what it is, and who understand what the Religion of Peace teaches about the sons and daughters of Sodom, cried out that it was long past time for sensible homosexuals who care about their own well-being to break from the leftist party line and openly acknowledge Islam as an existential threat to all gay men and lesbians.
Well, it’s happening. In some places, anyway. And to at least some degree. The other day, in an article for the Spanish daily El Mundo headlined “Gay voters shift to the far right in Europe,” Carlos Fresnada reported that “LGBTQ+ voters” – sorry, just quoting, I hate that term too – “have experienced an ideological shift in the last decade in countries like France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and today they overwhelmingly support far-right parties.” Fresnada further noted that the shift began to be noticed “even earlier in the United States.” Of course, in the mainstream media on both sides of the Atlantic, “far right” means anything to the right of Zohran Mamdani.
