Papadopoulos says his lawyers have asked for a pardon from Trump
By Chris Mills Rodrigo - 03/26/19 03:53 PM EDT

Former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos said Tuesday that his lawyers have asked for a pardon from President Trump.

“My lawyers have applied for a pardon from the president for me,” Papadopoulos said in an interview with Reuters, adding that the request was made a few days ago.

“If I’m offered one I would love to accept it, of course,” he told the outlet.

The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

Papadopoulos served 12 days of a two-week prison sentence last year for lying to FBI agents about his contact with individuals linked to Russia during the 2016 campaign.

Alright, but by doing so, you're admitting guilt.

There are substantial differences between legislative immunity and a pardon; the latter carries an imputation of guilt and acceptance of a confession of it, while the former is noncommittal, and tantamount to silence of the witness.

Of all of them, Papadopoulos seems like the one who should get a pardon.
