Well, if he waits just a few more months, our tourist season will be over and our COVID numbers will start going down drastically and our tourism $$ will have been made. Shh... our economy works just the opposite down here -- we thrive in the winter months and things slow up during the summer months. HOWEVER, our housing prices are through the roof and our housing inventory is low because so many people are escaping the liberal states and moving here. I'll refrain for saying anything any further; after all he is the current prez. So sad ... with travel restrictions, looks like Sloe Joe won't be visiting ... darn! :whistle:

Critics slammed Democrat President Joe Biden on Wednesday over a report that his administration is considering implementing domestic travel restrictions on Florida, calling it politically motivated.
While most of the reporting on the measures that the Biden administration is considering appeared to be primarily focused on Florida, they also mentioned California to a slightly lesser extent, undercutting the narrative that the move would be political in nature.
“Outbreaks of the new variants — including a highly contagious one first identified in the United Kingdom, as well as others from South Africa and Brazil that scientists worry can evade existing vaccines — have lent urgency to a review of potential travel restrictions within the United States,†The Associated Press reported Wednesday. “The U.K. variant, known as B.1.1.7, has recently exploded in Florida, where over a third of all cases in the United States have been identified.â€
“While COVID-19 cases in Florida have declined in recent weeks, the U.K. variant has spread rapidly in the state during that time,†the report later added. “It now accounts for up to 15% of new cases in Florida, according to estimates from a team of researchers modeling the variant’s growth across the country — up from about 1% at the beginning of January.â€..........

Yeah, the payback to Florida and Texas and any other "problem states" will begin in earnest now. They won't hold back. And why would they? It's not like we have any real rule of law or a piece of parchment that might curtail their further destruction of our country. It's not like we have any real patriots, like those of old, to stop them. Just lay back and try to enjoy the raping we'll be getting. No other choice, anyway. :shrug:

No., no and no! Both TX and FL are in the deep south and have pretty conservative governors, millions of conservatives .... huge economies, with TX having one of the largest in the world. We WILL find a way to succeed or secede ....those are our choices the way I see it.

So if he's restricting travel into FL, does he plan on restricting food and goods into FL?? He's waging a silent civil war or creating one.

If he used actual data, specifically deaths per million population, he'd isolate much of the NE US, not FL or TX. Apparently at some point months ago Trump considered doing that, but may have decided it was constitutionally questionable, if not simply wrong.
I haven't looked at the daily data for the US and various states in the past day or two, but last I saw the new cases and daily deaths numbers have been plummeting since mid-January. So isolating a region would be indefensible, based on actual data.

DeSantis hit back hard in response to a report that the Biden Administration was considering whether to impose a domestic travel restriction, including on Florida, to slow the spread of Covid-19.
The Biden Administration is retaliating against the state of Florida after Governor DeSantis has encouraged Floridians to get back to work so they can live normal lives and feed their families.
Florida is open for business and still has some of the lowest Covid infection rates and lowest Covid hospitalization rates in the country.

The recent report that the Biden administration is considering restricting the travel of Floridians is completely absurd, especially when Biden allows illegal aliens to pour across our southern border. We won’t allow Floridians to be unfairly targeted for political purposes.

Yes, what DeSantis says is absolutely true. How successful he's going to be against the marxists is yet to be seen. They don't give a damn about whether or not their actions are unconstitutional. We don't have a SCOTUS that is going to help, we've already witnessed that they will look the other way.
I am not in anyway finding fault with DeSantis. Quite frankly what the DEMS are doing is absolutely frightening to me. I think we all should be rattled by this. FL is a target, but we won't be the only ones. If they succeed in taking FL down, they will take down the rest of the states that they want to destroy as well.

Well, if Biteme was actually running things, I wouldn't be so worried or actually frightened. His puppet masters are in control (Obama, Soros, BLM, Antifa).
I thought that they would strike TX first, but evidently DeSantis is a more of a threat to them that I realized.
The more they target DeSantis the more I absolutely love the guy.

I would laugh my hiney clean off if the South joined with Florida in nullification... And the midwest, west, and desert states all joined with Floridah too, effectively turning it around to keep the Northeast and the left coast out of Flyover country... :laugh:

There is no constitutional authority to limit travel between states.
That is the for those state governors to decide.
The over-reach is getting into high gear now.
