Because they're idiots?

Offshore wind is gearing up to bulldoze the ocean

The Biden Administration has recently produced a wave of plans and regulatory actions aimed at building a monstrous amount of destructive offshore wind. No environmental impact assessment is included.

Time scales range from tomorrow to 2050. Here is a quick look at some of it, starting with the Grand Plan.

“Pathways to Commercial Liftoff: Offshore Wind” is the grandiose title of the Energy Department’s version of Biden’s vision. Their basic idea is that having successfully traversed the unexpected cost crisis, offshore wind is ready to take off.

They point out that even though costs quickly jumped an average of 65%, the boom market is unchanged. The coastal States are raring to go with huge offshore wind targets and laws. In short, it is a seller’s market. Cost is no object.

Germany’s Economic Bloodbath Worsens As Green Revolution Causes Economy To Bleed To Death
By P Gosselin on 3. May 2024

The “greener” Germany gets, the bloodier its economy becomes. How much can an economy bleed before it dies?

Since Germany has become hostile to industry and its Green Revolution has made energy prices among the world’s highest, it’s no wonder that the country’s economy is hemorrhaging economically. Companies are shutting down and moving out.

For example, German online Blackout News here reports on how automotive supplier IHI has announced the closure of its plant at Erfurter Kreuz, Thuringia, and that around 300 employees will be affected in a region that is already struggling.

The company is an manufacturer of turbochargers for cars and intends to close the plant in 12 to 15 months, reports Blackout News.

Radical leftists say oil companies are committing climate murder!

They’re gaslighting voters and consumers – when the real mass killers are environmentalists

Paul Driessen

We’re constantly told fossil fuel use is causing an existential climate crisis, extreme weather, worsening wildfires, and more frequent and intense hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts.

Actual temperature, storm and other records provide no support for these claims. They certainly don’t back up ludicrous assertions that burning coal, oil and natural gas – and even human breathing and baking pizzas in wood-fired ovens – are causing countless alleged calamities: such as slowing Earth’s rotation, thereby affecting scientific time clocks (by one second).

The claims are based primarily on computer models that erroneously assume carbon dioxide and a few other “greenhouse gases” (0.05% of Earth’s atmosphere, in total) control the climate, while the sun plays virtually no role, urban heat islands are inconsequential, and incompetent forest management is irrelevant.

The Dems already have a well-used work-around.  They just won't charge the rioters.  It worked like a charm with the St. Floyd rioters.

Bernstein graduated with a bachelor's degree in music from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied double bass with Orin O'Brien. Throughout the Eighties Jared was a mainstay on the jazz scene in NYC.

He also earned a Master of Social Work from Hunter College as well as a DSW in social welfare from Columbia University's school of social work.

Zero economics education.  Zero.  Probably didn't even take 101 Macro.

@corbe

I'm a conservative gal. Maybe even a little to the right of our dear, late MahaRushie. I don't enjoy encountering Hillary-esque insults from my side of the aisle. I'm not stupid. I'm not evil. I'm not an enemy of the right. If name-calling is accepted as political discourse here, I can either live with it, avoid it, or move on. Or maybe I'd just drop in every so often like I used to do so you won't have to miss me so much.  wink777

Please don't leave!  Your posts are very intelligent and thoughtful, and I would hate for TBR to lose that!

And why is this reality show panelist relevant?

He's a self-made multi millionaire.
He's built some tremendously successful businesses.
He's helped several dozen other people build successful businesses.
If you ever watch the show, you should notice that
he asks most of the hardest questions.
He dispels everyone's delusions in just a few seconds.
He presents reality more starkly
than at least 99.9% of people who have ever existed.
He's also launching a project to build
the first new oil refinery in the USA in several decades.

I don't know why they continue to tout Rubio.  President and Vice President cannot be from the same State.

12th Amendment to the Constitution:

Quote
The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves;

This is Jared Bernstein, the man who sets economic policy for the Biden administration. Asked why the US government borrows money if it can print its own money:  "I can't really... I don't get it. I don't know what they're talking about."

Oh my lord, we are doomed indeed.  Is this guy really that inept?
