Title: Police May Have Lied About Justin Bieber’s Arrest, Miami Beach PD has “credibility issues”

Are Cops And Anti-Bieber Forces Trying To Make An Example Out Of Him?

14811_10152149947111774_515129839_nTMZ is reporting that Miami Beach police officers may have exaggerated how much alcohol the pop singer Justin Bieber had in his system at the time of his arrest. Bieber’s blood alcohol level was reportedly .014, which is almost nothing. Law enforcement reported that his BAC was .04, an enormous difference

According to the police report, a Miami Beach police officer claimed that when he leaned into the car he was overpowered by the smell of alcohol. ”I immediately smelled an odor of alcohol eminating [sic] from the driver’s breath.”

Another officer reported ”… the odor of an alc bev on his breath.”

Bieber has claimed that he was not drunk when he was arrested the other day for drag racing and driving under the influence. Police claimed that he failed his field sobriety test. Sources from TMZ close to the case say that the Miami Beach Police Department has had credibility issues in the past.

Bieber has been in the spotlight recently due to his run ins with the police. His house outside Los Angeles was raided by police who were looking for clues related to an incident where Bieber allegedly egged his neighbor’s house, causing $20,000 in damages. Cops searching the home found drugs that were reportedly not connected to the singer, but to his friend L’il Za, who was arrested during the police siege while staying in the house at the time.

The LAPD has demanded that Bieber turn over his cell phone password, but Bieber has refused, demanding that they get another warrant if they want to unlock his personal cell phone. The case is important and relevant in regards to privacy issues because of the question of whether a warrant for a home can include the right for police to obtain data from a person’s private cell phone.

Civil libertarians should watch this case closely because often police officers have an incentive to crack down on celebrities because they want their names in the papers. Bieber may not be a saint, but he deserves the equal constitutional protections and rights that we all enjoy.

NO, that is a blood alcohol level for intoxication, and not driving a vehicle--in all 50 states.

One beer is illegal for Bieber since he isn't old enough to drink. Being legally drunk doesn't always mean a person is drunk. The breathalyzers measure alcohol, not sobriety. I believe Bieber was messed up, and am more interested in his cell phone controversy.

He admitted he had been taking Xanax and smoking pot all day........ no way should he have been driving.

He should spend some time in jail, then sent home to Canada. Let them handle the brat.

NY Post (http://pagesix.com/2014/01/24/justin-bieber-parties-with-dad-hours-after-dui-bust/)

He didn’t miss a beat — or a pint!

A drag-racing DUI bust couldn’t keep Justin Bieber from one of his his favorite underage pastimes: A newly released photo shows the hard-partying heartthrob appearing to chill with his dad over booze just hours after he was bailed out of a Miami jail, ]url=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2545254/Justin-Bieber-pictured-dad-bar-table-surrounded-alcohol-hours-bailed-driving-influence.html]the Daily Mail reported[/url].

And the collateral damage from Bieber’s Miami jaunt keeps spreading: Three Florida cops who squired the 19-year-old “Beauty and a Beat” crooner to area strip clubs were suspended this week, CNN reported.

Bieber padded his bad-boy wannabe resume by getting arrested in Miami Beach for speeding in a rented Lamborghini. Cops said the little Canadian was drunk and doing 60 in a 30 mph zone while drag-racing his rapper buddy Crazy Khalil in the wee hours of Thursday.

Bieber spent that morning and afternoon in South Florida’s legal system, sporting prison orange, while his smiling arrest mug blew up on the Internet and two rival hashtags — #DeportBieber and #WeWillAlwaysSupporYouJustin — duked it out on Twitter.

But he made bail — and a showy exit from a Miami detention center — as questions swirled about his state of mind and about the behavior of his dad, Jeremy Bieber. A jet was waiting in Miami to fly Bieber back to California, the Daily Mail reported.

The mess he leaves behind includes suspension with pay and a pending investigation for three cops from Opa-Locka, Fla., a Miami suburb. An Opa-Locka official told CNN the punishments were for officers serving as escorts for Bieber when he blew into town on Monday.

The once squeaky-clean pre-teen idol dropped $75,000 in just a few hours at a single Miami strip club on Monday, according to reports. He was also seen on Thursday, before his arrest, partying with curvy model Chantel Jeffries,

Bieber’s inner circle is said to be urging him to get professional help or enter rehab.

Well, this makes it all worth while:
Quote
Justin Bieber was seen 'crying his eyes out' following his arrest yesterday for drunk driving, resisting arrest and driving without a licence while allegedly drag racing in Miami.

The 19-year-old pop star had initially appeared to make light of his arrest on Thursday for drunk driving. He was pictured smiling in one of his mug shots, and waving to crowds of his fans after being released on bail.

However, a source claimed that the singer's emotions became too much upon returning to the detention center. ...

These young people have almost zero creativity, originality, etc. Been following black styles and fads, like backwards caps, for many many years.

Lame looking shoes, everybody gets arm tattoos. The totally gone get neck tattoos.

Music sucks, styles suck, manners suck.

I'll put forward, and you might agree (regardless of politics) the music of the 60s/70s was creative, original, and is recognized by most as without equal.

Oftentimes these things are misreported. They are usually only reported to two points after the decimal, so in this case it is probably .14 -- well over the limit for DWI and very close to aggravated DWI.

Original music died shortly after Kurt Cobain was murdered.  For the past 20 years, it's all been over-produced crap that floods the radio.

There is no way a Steely Dan, a Genesis, or a Chicago would get a major label today, let alone on pop radio.

I've often said we haven't heard truly musical stuff since the 1970s. Where's the musicality in today's tripe?

Yeah, I know, I'm sounding just like my parents did in the 1960s.  :chairbang:

Look at it this way.. when was the last time you watched a romance movie where they played rap as the romantic background music?  Nope, more than likely these days they play something from the past.

I've never been a big music person.  Being the typical geek, I mostly enjoyed classical music and the random song/work of various artists.  Most modern stuff, especially this "pop" garbage, I will not even consider because I find it to simply be crap.

But on the subject of Bieber, he is a just another great example that Lord Acton was absolutely correct.

"Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
