Comey friend expects criminal charges against McCabe 'any day' now
by Daniel Chaitin

A "good friend" of former FBI Director James Comey says he expects criminal charges against former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe any day now.
Benjamin Wittes, editor-in-chief of Lawfare, wrote in a blog post that he was shocked by a New York Times report Monday that revealed McCabe's lawyers met with top Justice Department officials in recent weeks.
"Such meetings generally take place when indictment is imminent; they happen when the government plans to bring charges," Wittes said on Tuesday. "You should thus expect charges against McCabe to be forthcoming any day. And if such charges don’t happen, that doesn’t mean they weren’t planned but, rather, that some extrinsic event has intervened."
McCabe’s lawyers met with Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, who will help make the call on whether to prosecute, and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie Liu in two separate meetings last week. This indicates federal prosecutors are close to making a final decision on whether to indict McCabe, who is accused of lying to federal agents.

How ironic is it that Comey, who is himself an unconvicted 'protected' felon, is expecting charges against anyone else. He should be more worried about his own butt, than worried about anyone else.

Let's put it this way..... I've come to expect no indictments for the protected deep state criminals on the left. I'll be very surprised, pleasantly so, if any such indictments materialize. Not...holding...my...breath.

Same here. Barr has already shown a disturbing willingness to let swamp creatures off the hook for Russiagate.

I have friends that are saying, give it/him time. He's just getting started. Me? I think he is just doing the usual delay & stall routine. Given enough time, the public will become distracted by some newer, shinier object to focus on. Like the 2020 election. That's the gameplay I'm seeing.

I see that too. Until then, the people are going to demand bread with their circuses. Look for a lot of helium-filled bread.

Who ever the people were who caused Sessions to lock his office door and hide under his desk, and essentially go on vacation for two years, may have influenced Barr in the same way. I hope not. But, we shall see.

Let's not forget that Barr and Mueller (and their wives) are friends. Old friends. And I think Mueller is in it up to his bloodshot eyeballs. Conflict of interest?

When Trump went shopping for an AG, DeeCee was fresh out of honest brokers.

The whole thing is a 'conflict of interests'. Congress(both sides), bureaucrats, media, and lobbyists, are all in the same incestuous fraternity. They have all sworn an oath, not to the Constitution, or to the American People, their oath is to protect each other in the brotherhood no matter what.
This is precisely why they are losing their minds with hate over Trump. He is not a member of their secret society. He never took the oath. According to the members, Trump has usurped a seat which was reserved for one of their own.

That's how I'm seeing it and feeling it.

That... plus.... they feel betrayed by Trump since he used to be one of them (or so they thought).
