More countries cut funding to UN agency after staffers accused of participating in Oct. 7 Hamas attack

Italy, Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Canada have pulled funding from the agency

A United Nations agency's alleged involvement in the October 7 terror attacks in Israel has led to widespread decisions to cut funding.

The United Kingdom, Canada and other key Western powers have joined the United States in cutting funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees in the Near East after twelve employees were accused of being "involved" in the attack.

Italy, Australia, Finland and Switzerland have also joined the boycott following the accusations, which have already resulted in the termination of multiple staffers.

The United States temporarily paused "additional" funding for the key United Nations agency in the Gaza Strip over allegations that some of its members were "involved" in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.

Twelve United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees in the Near East employees were allegedly "involved" in the attack, and the U.S. funding will resume subject to an investigation from the United Nations.

"UNRWA can read the Beltway press well enough to know that Congress is moving to cut off U.S. funding," Richard Goldberg, former National Security Council (NSC) advisor during the Trump Administration, told Fox News Digital. ...............

Who didn't see this as already happening for years and years now. One world government pushing for the world to end Israel. Almost like it was predicted 2000 years ago in a book.

Yet no one did anything about it.  Cries from various different people and organizations to get the U.S. out of the U.N. fell on deaf  (or defiant) ears.

US, UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Germany, and Switzerland have all announced they are pausing donations to UNRWA after it was revealed that at least 12 UNRWA employees participated in the October 7 massacre and used UNRWA resources while doing so. Together, these 9 countries contributed over $675 MILLION to UNRWA in 2022 alone. The numbers for 2023 have not been published yet.

IIRC, the US can't pull the plug on the UN criminal "International Criminal Court", because we refuse its jurisdiction. But after the court's recent Blood Libel ruling against Israel decent nations should follow the US in refusing/defying the ICC.

... Real diversity with no exemption: President Joe Biden on Friday appointed Palestinian-American attorney Maher al-Bitar, who served on President Barack Obama’s National Security Council as Director for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs and as deputy to Samantha Power, to be the new director of the NSC intelligence service.

Al-Bitar’s new job is an important day-to-day connective tissue between the intelligence community and the White House. ... Maher al-Bitar has served as Foreign Affairs Officer in the Office of the Special Envoy for Middle East Peace, and holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law, and is a member of the Maryland Bar. Sickening claims against UN aid agency REVEALED: Israel accuses UNRWA staff of role in Hamas kibbutz massacre that killed 97, kidnapping a woman into Gaza and supplying RPGs and ammo on October 7 terror attacks

At least a dozen UNRWA staff are accused of involvement in the October 7 attack
The US and seven other nations have now slashed their funding to the aid agency
And Israel vowed Sunday to ban the UN aid agency from operating inside Gaza

Staff from a United Nations' aid agency committed atrocious acts against Israel during the October 7 Hamas attacks, a damning new dossier has claimed.

Members of the UNRWA took part in killings, kidnappings and arming terrorists during raids on settlements, the explosive document alleges.

One worker allegedly took part in one of the kibbutz massacres that killed 97 of the 1,200 Israeli victims that day, another is accused of kidnapping an Israeli woman into Gaza, while one more is said to have handed out rocket-propelled grenades during the bloody ambush.

The honesty and integrity of the United Nitwits is above reproach.  Their reputation so pure and unsullied, it is like the driven snow.  To even suggest this is an insult to honest people everywhere. OMGGGGGGG

Are these the same UNRWA staffers who were canned a week or two ago for this? Or more staffers Israel might guilt UNRWA into canning by providing undeniable evidence?

Multiple countries have suspended $$ to UNRWA, but that needs to be permanent, and countries that have been dumping $$ and building materials into Gaza need to inquire about those hundreds of miles of concrete-lined and timber-supported tunnels.

Kirby at the podium saying they don't want to impune UNRWA as a whole. Today in the WSJ:

"Nearly half of all Unrwa employees—an estimated 49%—also had close relatives who also had official ties to the militant groups, especially Hamas, the intelligence reports said."

Were the UN anywhere near as decent as it pretends to be, it would have investigated and mass-purged UNRWA decades ago. Because UNRWA's anti-Israel actions are a decades-old tradition. But the UN has been anti-Israel since at least the 1960s, so Israel has to shame the UN into canning individual employees with undeniable proofs of crime.

Breaking! Giant Hamas tunnel found under UNRWA’s (United Nations) Gaza headquarters

“During a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Wednesday, the American diplomat was shown photos of a giant tunnel that was exposed in recent days underneath the central headquarters of UNRWA in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides.

This comes amid the ongoing revelations that staff of the U.N. relief agency for the Palestinians were actively involved in the Oct. 7 attack against Israel and have long been disseminating incitement against Israel through various platforms, including as teachers.”
