Scarborough Bashes Tea Partiers as 'RINOs'

by Tony Lee 13 Nov 2013, 2:30 PM PDT

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough parroted a talking point used by Bill Maher to slam conservatives on Tuesday, calling Tea Partiers "RINOs" (Republicans In Name Only) who cannot be "reasoned with."

After using the quote of a local Tea Party member in Kentucky that compared moderate Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Scarborough went off, saying, "Those people can’t be reasoned with."

"They are RINOs," he continued. "They don’t understand what it means to be a Republican, they don’t understand what it means to be a conservative. They don’t understand what it’s like to win elections. They don’t get it.”

Scarborough's remarks echo talking points from former CBS News insider Bernie Goldberg and the subject of a blog post by Bill Maher.

It's a given that Joe wouldn't understand what the Tea Party is. He's just another limp wristed liberal republican.

I'm no longer certain he's a Republican, he said earlier this week he would have no problem voting for a Democrat.

Limbaugh finally blasted him today.  I read it on this board, I think.
