« Last post by Bigun on Today at 09:44:20 pm »That's okay, thanks to Wicker v. Filburn, there's no need to substantially affect an interstate market for the Feds to get involved. Growing wheat for one's own family didn't substantially affect interstate commerce, but even the miniscule effect of withdrawing the family from participation in interstate commerce in wheat was held sufficient for the Feds to prohibit it.
(It will be great if Chevron gets overturned, but to really gut the administrative state, Wicker v. Filburn needs to go as well.)

Yup. it ain't like it's gonna matter much at that point... anything to ease the transition ought to be fair play... Up to the point of making it happen... OD or something... I can understand that, and even sympathize... I just dunno that I'd have the chops.

I have said it many times. I am a Halseyite. Admiral William Halsey did not mince words. In 1943, he made a speech saying, 'the only good Jap, is a Jap dead for six months or more. In a nation like Japan, where the civilian population supports the military as they do, the only good Jap civilian, is a Jap civilian dead for six months or more.' One could easily substitute the word Jap with the word Palestinian.
By this logic, you're saying we should have annihilated every Japanese man, woman, and child in 1945.
I'm thinking even Admiral Halsey wouldn't have supported that, but you do you.
