Governor’s desk last stop to California pledging 100% carbon-free energy by 2045
Gov. Jerry Brown is expected to approve one of the most aggressive climate regs. thus far.

On Wednesday evening, California's Senate passed SB 100, a bill mandating that utilities serving the state move to 100-percent carbon-free energy by 2045. If the Governor signs the bill into law, it will become one of the most aggressive in the nation, matching only Hawaii's carbon-free by 2045 commitment.

California's bill specifies that any energy obtained outside the state can not contribute to additional greenhouse gas emissions from that state. The stipulation preemptively closes a potential loophole in which California could acquire cheap energy from polluting plants in border states.

The bill also ratchets up California's previous carbon-free energy plan, such that the state will have to move to 60-percent carbon-free energy by 2030 rather than 50 percent by 2030.

California is the home of the largest producing oil county with the most wells in the nation, Kern County.

Only Jim Jones-style idiots would drink the Kool Aid of not using that to be a more productive state.

Little hope left for the loonies.

Watch Oil Giant Chevron, who was recently sued by the State of California for climate change, leave its HQ there for better pastures.

Jerry Brown has been a curse on my state since I was in high school.

After 40 years the lunatic might just finally succeed in completely destroying the economy here.

Just one more legislative abuse that the public will have to take to the ballot to overturn, I hope, at taxpayer expense. The democrats seem intent, and I include the goobernator, in driving industry, jobs and corporate headquarters out of California in their extreme desire to turn California into a steaming, stinking, socialist hellhole of liberal elite and illegals.

Here's one more way to force businesses to leave.  Tax them some more.
