Seems like it would have been better to give the dog to somebody with a completely different environment than around chickens or livestock.

Even "Commander" wasn't put down after biting dozens of Democrats.

That ain't how it's done.

2 Marines have died within a week while on duty
The Marines died near Camp Lejeune and at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton.

BY JEFF SCHOGOL | PUBLISHED APR 25, 2024 2:52 PM EDT

Two Marines have died in separate on-duty incidents five days apart, one of whom was killed in a parachute mishap during a training exercise, Corps officials said. Both deaths underscore the inherently dangerous daily reality of military life.

“Safety is a priority for the Marine Corps, we train our Marines to the highest standards to ensure we are accomplishing our mission in a safe and professional manner,” Marine Corps spokesman Ryan Bruce told Task & Purpose. “The loss of these Marines has impacts across our Corps and we offer our sincerest condolences to their families, friends, and peers.  It would be inappropriate to speculate while these incidents remain under investigation.”

On Tuesday, Cpl. Miguel A. Maya, a Marine assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron 303 died around 5 p.m. at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California during “routine military operations, a 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing news release says.

Sometimes these “bleeding hearts” are more upset HOW it is done than that IT is done at all.

Can’t tell how many times I hear in racing circles how horrible it is that someone shot the horse, etc.  in the old days, too.  Instead of the kindly IV.  Ultimately it doesn’t matter, if the point was just to put him out of his misery.

The worst experience I ever had was putting down a dog - One of my old old friends... Perhaps my favorite dog ever, and certainly the one a talk on and on about. He was my first to make it to old age, and my first to put down on purpose because he had surpassed his ability to function.

All of my other dogs were put out of a misery of one sort or another A pretty quick death with a single shot. But Charlie was different. I thought to ease him on his way. So I took him to the vet to put him down.

Wound up sitting on his head while the doc flailed at getting the injection in... An horrible death. He died in a panic. My damn fault, and one of my greatest. I should have hiked up my balls and put a bullet in him. He wouldn't have even seen it coming.

That bullet is kind, properly administered.

Coal is an antiquated, dirty source. Natural gas is cheaper and cleaner burning and easier to transport. Your state of WVa (if you are a WVA mountaineer) is now one of the largest NG suppliers in the country and power plants are moving towards NG.
NG jobs in Wva has taken over coal jobs years ago.

Natural gas has killed the coal jobs in WVa, not any President.
I'm well aware of gas operations in WV. I hear them at night. There are wells within just a few miles of our home. That said, natural gas is not enough without coal, and solar/wind will never make up for coal.

Hey! *bouche*  With recruiting being so bad, the AF could get rid of the fuelers to other fields and just let the pilots fuel their own aircraft!

Powell and Yellen should have been ousted long ago.  The economy is in rough shape as it is -- this is right before the election too. Not a good thing for ole Joe.
