‘They blew it at every turn’: Bill Maher slams Dems going after Trump in legal cases
“It's Stormy or bust.”

On Friday, Comedian Bill Maher called out the Democrats and prosecutors who are going after former President Donald Trump and said they "blew it at every turn."

On his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, the comedian said, "The Democrats have had four years to put Trump on trial and it is all just going away."

Maher first pointed to the former president's motion to disqualify Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Wills for misconduct. He said, "They’re gonna take up Trump’s argument about Fani Willis. You know, she’s the prosecutor: she’s having an affair with the guy she hired. I mean, it’s not relevant to the case, but they left an opening. And now that one’s gonna be delayed.”

"The stolen documents one," he continued, referring to the case where the FBI allegedly found classified documents at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, "That’s never gonna happen because that’s a Trumpy judge down there."

BOMBSHELL: Biden Administration Has Been Hiding Intel on Location of Hamas Leaders in Betrayal of Israel

Joe Biden has been hiding intelligence on the whereabouts of Hamas leaders and their command tunnels, depriving Israel of vital information that could lead to an end to the war. That revelation came in a report on Saturday and was framed as the administration offering that information now if the ongoing operation in Rafah is canceled.

The story first broke in The Washington Post, with the paper describing the offer as follows.

Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg’s paralegal admitted in court on Friday that the office deleted some call records between witness Michael Cohen and Dylan Howard, the lawyer for adult film actress Stormy Daniels (aka Stephanie Cliffords), raising questions of whether or not the prosecutors have misled the court.

Trump’s legal team was able to get witness Jaden Jarmel-Schneider to confirm that some calls were erased from an exhibit of calls. Trump’s lawyer Emil Bove said it was about three pages of records.

While Jarmel-Schneider objected to Bove characterizing the call deletions as “significant,” he did acknowledge some calls were removed.

In an attempt to challenge some of the evidence presented in President Trump’s business records falsification trial in Manhattan, Trump attorney Emil Bove questioned paralegal Jaden Jarmel-Schneider in court on May 10 about approximately three pages of records that the attorney claimed Mr. Bragg’s office deleted.

California Will Make Everyone Pay For EVs Whether They Own One or Not
JAZZ SHAW 1:00 PM | May 11, 2024

California Democrats are frustrated by many of their consumers. No matter how much they plead, whine, and cajole, people simply aren't buying electric vehicles in the numbers the state is demanding. And progress in getting charging stations up and running is far behind schedule. Also, all of the electrical power being flushed into these systems is expensive. But don't worry about any of that. Gavin Newsom and the Democrats have a plan to address all of these woes. In order to subsidize the cost of electric vehicles and encourage more people to buy them, they're going to tack on a monthly subsidy charge to everyone's utility bills. That's right... people who either don't want or can't afford an electric vehicle will be paying for the costs imposed by the minority of people who do. They will also be subsidizing conversions to electrical household appliances like stoves. (Free Beacon)

Millions of middle-class California households are poised to pay an extra $24 per month for electricity, regardless of how much electricity they use. Regulators are hoping this utility billing policy will rescue their agenda to move everyone to electric cars and appliances by redistributing the massive costs of the state’s electric grid so utilities can lower their usage rates.

But critics say the income-based premium will likely further hike utility costs for millions of Californians—nearly one-fifth of whom are already behind in paying their bills after household electricity rates almost doubled in the last decade—and likely won’t do much to cut the state’s sky-high electricity rates. The premiums are supposed to subsidize lower-income household electricity costs, which will be reduced by 5 cents to 7 cents per kilowatt hour, in a bid to make charging EVs and using electric heaters and appliances cheaper.

Re-Establishing Non-Strategic Nuclear Capabilities in the United States Navy
William Atkins5 days ago1 Comment4 Mins Read

In an era marked by escalating tensions, the concept of nuclear deterrence still holds profound significance and elicits multifaceted discussion and debate. One proposition in the defense community is the reintroduction of a non-strategic nuclear capability within the United States Navy, by way of the sea-launched cruise missile-nuclear (SLCM-N). What is missing in the debate is an in-depth analysis from a tactical standpoint, focusing on the capabilities, costs, and communication strategies pertinent to such a proposition.

Capabilities Assessment

The possible introduction of SLCM-N to the attack submarine fleet creates an imperative that requires assessing the weapon’s efficiency in enhancing the United States’ ability to both deter an adversary and defeat it, if necessary. From a tactical standpoint, the deployment of SLCM-N offers enhanced flexibility and responsiveness, enabling targeted precision strikes against key adversary assets.

Additionally, the versatility of SLCM-N enables credible deterrence across a spectrum of threats, bolstering the United States’ strategic resilience in an increasingly volatile geopolitical environment. By utilizing and retrofitting existing or in-process systems, it is possible to make SLCM-N a variable-yield, stealthy, and surgically precise tactical-/battlefield-employable nuclear system. Furthermore, the necessity for a more regionally targeted nuclear weapon capability is necessary, now more than ever, to deter aggression in both EUCOM and INDOPACOM theaters and potentially provide greater assurance to partners and allies.

Army Rethinks Survivability for Tactical Wheeled Vehicles
5/10/2024
By Stew Magnuson

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — Brig. Gen. Beth Behn, the Army’s chief of transportation, spent a large chunk of 2023 in eastern Ukraine observing the ongoing war there before taking over her current role.

What she saw changed her thinking about the some 200,000 tactical wheeled vehicles her command employs to move soldiers and supplies on battlefields.

“I came back from Ukraine with my hair on fire to modernize our doctrine, our training and, of course, our equipment,” she said at the National Defense Industrial Association’s annual Tactical Wheeled Vehicles Conference held recently on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Her main takeaway: what the Army has been predicting as the battlefield of 2030 is here and now in Ukraine.

US special forces want longer reach for rockets, snipers, robots
By Todd South
 Thursday, May 9, 2024

TAMPA, Fla. — Special operators are pushing for more firepower in their small teams, asking industry for a lighter shoulder-fired rocket, a long-range sniper rifle, and both land- and air-based weaponized drones.

Lt. Col. Tosh Lancaster told the audience at the Special Operations Force Week conference that U.S. Special Operations Command plans to publish a request for information covering a “Javelin light” by late fiscal 2024 or early fiscal 2025.

The program for a tactical precision missile would give small teams of special operators the capabilities of the current shoulder-fired, anti-tank Javelin rocket but in a smaller package.
