Noticed a new tax on people handloading (and selling it) was made recently... Now they are to pay an additional 11% tax in the process... for now, no additional tax if you are just making it for yourself (home use).

RELOADING CUSTOMERS' SHELLS OR CARTRIDGE CASES FOR RESALE AS RELOADED AMMUNITION IS NOT AN ACT OF MANUFACTURE FOR EXCISE TAX PURPOSES.

@Sighlass
I read the text at your link and did not see where the tax applies to reloading supplies. Even if it does, how would supplies ordered from suppliers outside of Cal be taxed?

The TRUTH About Handloading
Ron Spomer Outdoors Feb 23, 2022
Who is Ron Spomer
For 44 years I’ve had the good fortune to photograph and write about my passion – the outdoor life. Wild creatures and wild places have always stirred me – from the first flushing pheasant that frightened me out of my socks in grandpa’s cornfield to the last whitetail that dismissed me with a wag of its tail. In my attempts to connect with this natural wonder, to become an integral part of our ecosystem and capture a bit of its mystery, I’ve photographed, hiked, hunted, birded, and fished across much of this planet. I've seen the beauty that everyone should see, survived adventures that everyone should experience. I may not have climbed the highest mountains, canoed the wildest rivers, caught the largest fish or shot the biggest bucks, but I’ve tried. Perhaps you have, too. And that’s the essential thing. Being out there, an active participant in our outdoor world.

Probably required to be collected by the seller as is done by other retailers, or at the FFL where California's rat bastard democrats force out of state retailers to ship components. I found this out just the other when I tried to order some specialty defense bullets available from only two out of state vendors, plus California will not give up it's instant verification fee/TAX!

Now are you talking about bullets(reloading components) or ammunition?

yeah sorry, wrong link or wonky site not sure how it happened because I was looking at this page for components and I think I accidently hit the back button on my mouse just before I copied the link, here is the correct one and the one I tried to order off of. https://detroitammoco.com/product/projectiles-90gr-9mm-interceptors/
Note that even though the item is 50 projectiles the packaging refers to it as 'ammunition' which it clearly is not :pondering: unless the ATF is redefining components as ammunition.
It's not as if I don't have enough 9mm bullets, maybe I should say projectile to avoid confusion it's that theses are really wicked, opened on every test I saw and don't come apart like similar designs.
Just for shits and giggles I tried to purchase again with this resulting message:
Due to ATF, State, or local regulations, Detroit Ammo Company cannot ship to the City and/or State you have selected. You can however ship to an Authorized FFL dealer. Please choose your preferred location in the shipping options select box. *It is your responsibility to contact the FFL dealer before placing an order to verify they are willing to manage the transfer of your ammunition purchase.
