Rocker Bruce Springsteen faces DWI charge after 2020 arrest in New Jersey
Rock music legend Bruce Springsteen was arrested nearly three months ago at a national park in New Jersey on charges that included reckless driving and driving while intoxicated, a park spokeswoman said on Wednesday.
“The Boss,†whose career of more than 50 years has often highlighted his home state of New Jersey and its shore scene, received the citations on Nov. 14 at Sandy Hook, a strip of beach that extends into the Atlantic just south of New York City, the spokeswoman said.
“Springsteen was cooperative throughout the process,†Daphne Yun, spokeswoman for the National Park Service’s Gateway National Recreation Area, said by email.
Springsteen was also cited for consuming alcohol in a closed area, she said.
Four of Springsteen’s representatives, including two lawyers, did not immediately respond to a request for comment........

Bruce Springsteen’s Super Bowl LV Jeep commercial was yanked from YouTube on Wednesday after the rock legend’s DWI bust came to light.
The clip for “The Middle ft Bruce Springsteen†on Jeep’s YouTube page now reads: “Video unavailable. This video is private.â€
The Hollywood Reporter first reported that the ad had been taken off Jeep’s page at around 1 p.m.
The commercial wasn’t on Jeep’s Twitter Wednesday, either. However, it was still available on Springsteen’s Instagram account. ...

I am a Classic Rock aficionado, and my honest opinion is that he, and Bon Jovi are the most overrated acts in history, Must be that NJ thing going.

I diagree. Of course,it wasn't great until the Pointer Singers got ahold of it. The song is titled "Fire". Give a listen to what these ladies do with it live. These girls tore that SOB UP!

Yup! No better way to draw in the 20 and 30 something into Jeep showrooms than to spend 22 million bucks to have a geezer in his 70's most of them have never heard of to advertise for Jeeps.
I am guessing Brucie was their fallback position when they couldn't get Michael Jackson to answer the phone.

In AZ, you can get written up blowing 0.0%. DUI is a subset of Impaired Driving, which has the same punishment.

I don't care for Bruce's political leanings, and what he does these days doesn't interest me, but...
... back in his younger days, he was one of the best out there (although I never cared for his all-out rockers in most cases, preferring the ballads, etc.).
"The River" may be one of the great rock albums of all time (although it was too long). I especially liked the cover art, with the stand-up wedding figures. It was the writing as well as the playing that hit you:

But lately there ain't been much work
On account of the economy
And all those things that seemed important

Now I just act like I don't remember

(haven't listened to the song in many years, but still remember the lyrics)
Or... "Cadillac Ranch"... which on its face seems rowdy and fun, but underneath lies pain:

Bruce back then could really connect with his audience, better than ANYONE else.
I wish he'd get his head straight on political reality.
Guess it comes with the territory with gettin' to rich on one's music...
