This article doesn’t go into the entire story, but state senator Sam Thompson (R) has been working on this bill for several years, way before the bus tragedy this year.

I was honored to meet senator Thompson yesterday. He’s a real mensch. I’m glad he’s my state senator.

He’s senator for Monmouth, Middlesex, Ocean and Burlington counties if that helps any readers or members.
It’s a shame he’s not a national senator. Menendez can’t hold a candle to him.
