Jemele Hill’s Tweets Are Bad, But Her ESPN Show Is Even Worse
When everything’s a hate group, dialogue becomes impossible.

Quote
Last night ESPN’s 6 PM Sportscenter host Jemele Hill chose the 16th Anniversary of 9/11 to go off on the fitness of Donald Trump’s white supremacy in a series of tweets responding to randos on the internet. “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists. Trump is the most ignorant offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period. The height of white privilege is to be able to ignore his white supremacy because it’s of no threat to you. Well, it’s a threat to me. Donald Trump is a bigot. Glad you could live with voting for him. I couldn’t, because I care about more than just myself. He is unqualified and unfit to be president. He is not a leader. And if he were not white, he never would have been elected.” You can see the full roster of tweets here.  Apparently it was inspired by an argument about Kid Rock, connected to a protest of his performance at the Red Wings new arena. Surely that will stop him.

I asked Jemele to show her work and name the white supremacists Trump’s surrounded himself with.  She didn’t answer – but her followers did, citing Steve Bannon, Seb Gorka, Stephen Miller, Jeff Sessions, Kris Kobach, and the Trump family themselves. So that’s two guys who are gone, the top Jewish staffer working in the White House, a former Republican Senator, a former Republican Secretary of State in Kansas, and a family of wealthy lifelong New York Democrats. That’s your indication of deep-seated white supremacy at the White House? These are the guys in white hoods carrying torches? And how exactly are they a threat to you?

For those of you who don’t know who Hill is, she stars as one half of the primetime version of ESPN’s marquee product. She’s also a perfect example of the real reason ESPN’s original programming is sucking wind: she’s a really lousy television host, having nothing to do with her politics. The SC6 branded show is not a good one, in part because you have two co-hosts who both are more serious and overly sincere than they are charismatic or quick with the snark.  ...

I don't watch ESPN or the NFL anymore.

ESPN only cared about the big markets anyway.  So unless you were Boston, NY or LA they didn't care.

It's almost impossible to listen to or read an article by a black media member like Hill without race eventually being interjected into the conversation.  Virtually every black media member (and most white media members) with few exceptions is a SJW.     To these people despite making millions all pro black athletes are victims of racist whites.
And yes,  I've heard Hill squawk on her show and other sports shows.  She lived down to my expectations.

ESPN Suspended Linda Cohn, Let Jemele Hill Slide
Posted on September 13, 2017 by Clay Travis - OKTC

Last night Outkick broke the news that Linda Cohn, one of the most respected women to ever work at ESPN and the person who has hosted more SportsCenters over the past 25 years than any other current employee, was called and told by ESPN president John Skipper not to come to work after she went on the radio in New York City this past April and said as follows:
Quote
“They definitely overpaid for many of these products, whether it’s the NBA or starting up networks like the Pac-12 Network and SEC Network,” she said on WABC’s “Bernie and Sid Show.” “It’s well documented … They [also] did not see that they would lose all these subscribers [to competitors like Netflix.]

But it was more than just that. Politics played a part, as did the network’s move away from strictly covering sports.

I felt that the old school viewers were put in a corner and not appreciated with all these other changes. And they forgot their core. You can never forget your core and be grateful for your core group.”

As comments go, virtually no one could disagree with any of what she said. ESPN did overpay for the NBA and other sports rights, it’s why they are firing hundreds of employees. And ESPN’s ratings have definitely plummeted over the past couple of years at the same time that they have lost over 13 million cable subscribers. Studies have clearly shown that conservatives have felt alienated by ESPN’s leftward turn and have abandoned the network in droves as well.

Everything that Cohn said was supported by ample data.

But her opinion still wasn’t acceptable to ESPN’s bosses, who have been arguing, and losing the public battle, that ESPN hasn’t adopted a left wing mantra.

According to multiple sources inside ESPN — Cohn declined comment when reached by Outkick — ESPN president John Skipper called Cohn and screamed at her for having the gall to share her opinion in public and told her to stay at home instead of coming to work that weekend. Why was Cohn to stay at home? So, according to an irate John Skipper, she could have time to think about what she had said.   ...

Said another, different ESPN personality, “If Jemele can say that and Linda can’t say what she said, what kind of standard actually exists here? There isn’t one. There’s clearly a double standard. If you say things the company agrees with, you don’t get punished. If you say things the company disagrees with, you do get punished. Maybe even fired.”

Another prominent employee who also requested anonymity stated, “If I’d said Obama got elected because he was black is there any way I’d still be employed here? No chance. But Jemele can say Trump got elected because of white racists and no one does anything? They protect the people they agree with politically. They give them better jobs, more money, everyone can see it.” ...

White House: ESPN’s Jemele Hill should be fired for calling Trump a ‘white supremacist’

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday struck back at ESPN host Jemele Hill for referring to President Trump a “white supremacist,” calling the comment “outrageous” and saying she should lose her job.

Asked about Hill's series of tweets Monday evening, in which the sportscaster also said Trump's rise was “the direct result of white supremacy,” Sanders responded: “That's one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make and certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN.”

They've given refuge to Keith Olbermann...more than once, IIRC.  They have embraced their outspoken racist pundits.

Truth is, ESPN is just another 'front' in the Left's Master Plan...their target audience is, <drumroll> avid sports enthusiasts.  Who vote.

They don't care that they've alienated what I sure as hell hope, is 'only' 50% of the population.  God help us all if it's more.

If everywhere you turn around TRUMP/REPUBLICANS = EVIL NAZI RACISTS, eventually, some of that shit sinks in to the psyche.

Yeah, well, this kind of thing happens all the time. It's just another case of a Black person landing a beautiful position with everything America has to offer, and then they throw it all away in the name of grievance, vindictiveness, and Black supremacy. This is fairly common these days. Some people just simply cannot stand the fact that they are Black. They can't get over it. They can't let it go. It drives them crazy.

My opinion is that ESPN is done. It's over. They morphed from being a sports channel into a 'politics' channel with some sports. And nobody cares about their opinions on Trump or Global Warming or the Police. And they can't seem to stop. They can't help it.

The most likely result of all this is that a new channel will start up and get back to reporting on 'sports', and ESPN will be long gone.

Kaepernick Tweets Support for ESPN's Jemele Hill After She Called Trump a 'White Supremacist'
Fox News, Sep 13, 2017, Fox and Friends

ESPN has come under fire after "SportsCenter" host Jemele Hill tweeted that President Donald Trump is a "white supremacist" who is "unfit and unqualified" to be commander-in-chief.

ESPN's public relations department later tweeted a statement, saying that Hill's comments do not represent the position of the network. ESPN took no action against Hill for her comments, however, which has led to criticism.

Controversial free agent NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick tweeted a message of support to Hill, saying "we are with you."

Kaepernick made national headlines last NFL season by kneeling during the pre-game national anthem to protest police brutality and racial inequality in America.

On "Fox & Friends First" today, Lawrence Jones said ESPN's lack of action against Hill makes it clear that they are pushing some kind of liberal agenda.

He pointed out that former MLB pitcher Curt Schilling was fired from his analyst position by the network when he retweeted a meme that was deemed offensive to the LGBTQ community.

An ESPN anchor who called President Trump a white supremacist should be fired, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday.

“That is one of the more outrageous comments that anybody could make and certainly is something that is a fireable offense by ESPN,” Sanders said.

ESPN has reprimanded Jemele Hill, an African-American woman who co-hosts a show called “SC6 with Michael and Jemele,” for a string of tweets sent out over the weekend calling Trump and his supporters white supremacists.

One of these posts, I forget which, makes me remember what Larry Elder has said:

There is a list of most influential black Americans.

Judge Thomas on there? No....

Then Larry mentions someone else, probably Thomas Sowell, could be some other well known name, I never get to hear the show enough.

On a different note, RGIII, Robert Griffin III, won the Heisman, I know he got some injuries last year but he is like Kaepernick, RGIII doesn't have a team. But we don't hear about this.

In terms of locution, yes. In terms of the intended sentiment, that's entirely debatable.

Don't you think it's appalling that an allegedly conservative administration should be either calling for her
firing or saying what she said is a fire-able offense? We went ballistic when conservative commentators were
fired; why should we not go likewise, if we really are in favour of free speech, when a non-conservative
commentator's job is threatened either directly or implicitly just because she said something we didn't like,
too?

Quote
I think Jemele Hill’s comments are asinine, a warmed-over
version of Ta-Nehisi Coates, as Jason Whitlock rightly stated this morning
on Fox News. She has yet to name the white supremacists who surround
Trump, or cite the evidence that Trump is himself a white supremacist.
But that’s not fireable. This is still America, where government actors
shouldn’t be utilizing their government platforms to call for the firings of
private citizens. If ESPN wants to dump Hill for damaging their business,
that’s their problem. For the White House to call for such a move, however,
is pretty egregious. Imagine if the Obama administration had called for
Ditka’s ouster.

But Trump is so thin-skinned he cannot resist going after private citizens. Which is exactly what dopes like Hill and the gaggle of leftists at ESPN want.

I haven't watched Hill on a sports show for about one year, but I sincerely doubt it's the first time she's made a comment on public events other than sports. I seem to recall her saying or writing other things concerning race without being provoked.
You have to realize that many of these black "sports" reporters other than a few exceptions like Jason Whitlock have a gigantic chip on their shoulder.
I recall watching an episode of "Pardon The Interruption" where Michael Wilbon declared that race pervades every aspect of American life.  Yes, that's right, when you go put gas in your car, plant your garden, or remodel the living room, you're thinking about race.
And when Beyonce did her routine during  the SB attacking the nation's policemen, Wilbon became incensed on air that anybody would criticize her for doing it.  That's how race-obsessed many of the ESPN black talking heads are.
