White House was in chaos when Trump was severely ill with COVID-19, according to new book
“Trump was in the highest-risk category for severe disease from covid-19 — at 74, he rarely exercised and was considered medically obese.”

Story at a glance
White House officials were in a panic when President Trump contracted the coronavirus in October 2020, according to an upcoming book.
The White House reportedly called then-FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn asking the FDA to sign off on a compassionate-use authorization for a monoclonal antibody treatment immediately for an unnamed person.
The alleged incident is detailed in the book, “Nightmare Scenario: Inside the Trump Administration's Response to the Pandemic That Changed History," by Washington Post reporters.

The book, “Nightmare Scenario: Inside the Trump Administration's Response to the Pandemic That Changed History," describes the chaos the White House experienced following Trump’s diagnosis, even attempting to cut corners to get Trump access to an experimental treatment.
“Nightmare Scenario," written by Washington Post reporters Yasmeen Abutaleb and Damian Paletta, details the Trump administration’s behind-the-scenes response to the coronavirus pandemic.

I call bull.

"chaos"
-
"chaos"
Most likely what they are calling "chaos" was the sort of typical hubub one would expect, with White House staff making sure that all contingency plans are in place and understood, just in case the unlikely thing happened and the President took a turn for the worse and became incapacitated, or worse yet, died.
It would be utterly irresponsible for White House staff to not be doing all those things whenever the President contracts an illness that might lead to serious incapacitating illness or death, even if the odds of such a result are fairly low.
In other words, if the White House staff had remained calm and sedate throughout, that would be an indication that they were all incompetent and should be fired.
This is just more bad-faith use of rhetoric to falsely (and knowingly) make things appear worse than they actually were, solely for vindictive ulterior political motives.

NYT calls it the best read since Rage, Bob Woodward‘s book about Donald Trump and his presidency!

Well, any sort of unexpected urgent/emergency situation will result in scrambling to work through it. This is common sense ... something never considered when Trump is the target.
So, I'm sure the WH was in "chaos" when:
* Benghazi was attacked;
* Planes crashed into the WTC and Pentagon;
* The Murrah building bombing happened;
* Iraq invaded Kuwait;
* Reagan was shot;
* Iran took hostages from the US Embassy.

Trump is an agent of chaos. He creates it where ever he goes. Keeping others off balance improves his position of power relative to those around him.

Yes, can't you tell? The nation is so much more orderly without him.
No doubt that’s why he infected himself with Covid - for the attention.

If you click the link below, these two women with funny sounding last names, have written and re-written and re-written and re-written the same info. over and over and over and made it a new book - there are numerous books there by these two about the same thing. I will not be buying any books from these two.

The following does not belong on this thread - I will be by myself for a few weeks. I need a phone to be with me in case I fall as my balance is for s..... Not a cell phone, too big, too much weight, likely to fall out of pocket -need a for sure way. Tomorrow I will have a phone on my wrist. Wrist watch is also a phone. Punch pre-set button, talk to 911. Costs less than $60. This watch does all the other stuff fancy watches do, but this is the only one I could find that is a phone and it is not expensive.
Anyone needing a phone on your wrist, PM me and I will send you the link.
@Cyber Liberty , if you can put this about the phone watch in a place people could find it, I think it would be helpful to some people. It is going to be my safe guard from now on anytime I am alone.

I DO NOT BELIEVE TRUMP HAD THE VIRUS. He got well too fast; would not happen. He did this fake illness to show how strong and virile he is. No one recovered from Covid as fast as he did. He did not have it. I cannot prove that, but I believe it.

So those 4 or 5 highly regarded Specialist who got out in front of the camera every day were lying? That'd seem to be a risk for their careers, MD license'. Strange coming from you V33.

With all due respect: You must be kidding me.
Was Melania Trump faking it too? Were all the doctors at Walter Reed in on the "con"? How come all of them have remained silent, when President Trump cannot even keep some of his stupid relatives from trying to make a buck off his name by printing outrageous stories about him (stories that you seem, based on prior posts, to have given full credence)?
I'm sorry. I know that I'm a newcomer to this forum, and I know that there is a lot more history behind most posters here that I cannot begin to grasp, but I simply cannot give you much credence if you are going to honestly take a position like that.
Heck, even a political mouthpiece like USA Today thinks the he-faked-covid story is false: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/10/03/fact-check-false-claim-trumps-covid-19-test-result-con/5894945002/

Did they fly Cheeto Jesus to Walter Reed Medical Center in Marine 1 and give him mono-clonal anti-bodies because he had hemorroids?

I knew when Bronze suntan lotion and yellow hair dye became available again we were in trouble.

That's :tinfoil: -grade. Regeneron's REGEN-COV(the monoclonal antibody treatment), Gilead's Remdesivir, and dexamethasone are effective treatments, especially when administered early, as was the case.
-
Imagine that. The White House was "chaotic" when the President, Chief Executive, and Commander in Chief was ill with a potentially debilitating or fatal disease.
-
Approximately what are you trying to say in this post? :pondering:
It did not go unnoticed that there was no response. :cool:
And addtionally to the outrageous claims that Trump faked the disease. ......
Him catching it, while often trying to downplay the seriousness of the disease had no upside politically.
