A dateless Rachel Bird decides to make a cardboard version of the football stud her date
When Tim Tebow ignored an Iowa girl’s tweets to escort her to prom, the teen got crafty — literally.
Rachel Bird, a senior at Kingsley-Pierson High School in Iowa, took a cardboard cutout of the Jets quarterback to the big dance last week, all part of her quest to make the night memorable.
“It was awkward, but people asked me to stop for photos during the grand march,” Bird told the Sioux City Journal on Monday. “Believe me, this isn’t something I ever thought I’d be doing.”
Bird, described as shy by her parents, still didn’t have a prom date by early March, the newspaper reported. She decided to contact Tebow, her idol, via Twitter — but he never responded.

Well, this kind of absurdity partially explains why nobody asked her, even with her looks. She's probably crazy or an attention-seeker.
