Hmmmm. Is there a Kitten Bowl? ***evilkitty
Super Bowl is when I do my Walmart run. Fewer people there.
-
Me. I'm not going to watch.

Yes, @Cyber Liberty there is a kitten bowl. Hallmark channel. It’s s must watch in the casa de Gefn.

Since they're Kaepernick-free - as is the NFL - I'd prefer the 9ers. I won't feel too bad if the Chiefs win. I was in high school the last time they were in the Superbowl.

Since even the half time doesn't flick my bic...I don't care

Same here..didn't even know who was playing until I saw this..

I largely stopped watching the NFL but both sides seem very good.
The Chiefs and coach Andy Reid who I'd think would be deserving of an SB win, need to develop a game plan, MN and more to the point, GB yesterday, just didn't have an effective game plan once SF sprinted out ahead of them. Also, be careful of errors, that is pretty ordinary advice.
I hope KC can do it but won't feel that bad in the Niners take it.

Back when the Steelers were contenders, I did my grocery shopping Sunday afternoons. Supermarket was almost empty then.

Sad, but I came here to see who was playing.

In the Casa de Gefn, we watch the puppy and kitten bowls, and are planning on playing with my sisters six month old dachshund puppy. Some of the senior pups are coming from animal shelters I support in NJ. I hope they find second forever homes. So sad when their owners die or move into homes and they can’t take their beloved fur babies with them.

The local Ice house I go to does a pretty good blowout of these things.
They have a barbecue, prizes, trivia, etc.
It's a lot of fun.
Brisket, ribs, sausage, jalapeno poppers, all good stuff.
The game becomes secondary, usually.
I am hoping for a Chiefs win, since my daughter and here family live in KC.
My son-in-law is a huge Chiefs fan.
Most of all, I hope that it is not a blow out.

I didn't know till a couple of days ago that its was the Chief v. 49'ers until my daughter told me. I am not into football, but I was born in KC --- so I'd like to see the Chief's win -- no other reason.

:rolling: Like I said ... I don't pay attention to football ...
-
Most of the players have no respect for anything.
-
I'm for the Chiefs, I also recognize quality teams, my real assessment is that San Francisco wins....

Anyone doing a live thread?

I haven't seen an entire NFL game for years - stopped watching after the 2001 Divisional Championship game when I realized the league was entirely capable of fixing games. Too many rules equals too many opportunities for their subjective application.
Secondarily, I realized watching football, above all other sports, made me unhappy as often as I enjoyed watching it. Who needs that.

Tough call. KC is a local team, but SF QB Beathard played for Iowa. I'll take either.
-
I fell asleep about 7 pm. How were the commercials?
Seems like it was a good game.
-
Good to see Mahomes win it.
He grew up locally in my area and has not forgotten it. He gave $100k to the school district to use for sports.
Affable guy from people who know him.

Our local liberal local news hardly mentioned the SB.
Maybe someone discovered that that is also dying.

Everything the leftists touch turns to shit. A reverse Midas Touch.

It was a great game! (Kinda rare for a Super Bowl).
Only one good commercial that I saw. I don’t remember what it was for, but three famous Bostonians were mocking their own accents and it really struck me funny!
(Somebody with a better memory can fill in the details!)
