Breyer suggested court-packing proponents 'think long and hard' about move

MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan has called on liberal Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer to retire from the bench after he spoke out forcefully against court-packing earlier this week.
In the piece, published Thursday and starkly headlined "Justice Stephen Breyer Should Retire from the Supreme Court," Hasan accused Breyer of intentionally overlooking the "partisanship" of his conservative colleagues, and dismissed his position as "naive, misguided and self-serving."
"It feels odd for me to have to remind a sitting justice that nowhere in the Constitution does it say there should be nine justices on the court," Hasan wrote at one point.
In a lecture at Harvard Law School on Tuesday, Breyer argued that politically-driven changes to the Supreme Court risked damaging the rule of law in the United States.

It appears Mehdi Hasan is part of the "Demand Justice" crowd (see my thread http://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,433702.0.html) that suddenly started demanding Breyer's retirement.

I'm afraid Breyer is late to the party; SCOTUS itself has damaged the rule of law in the United States, and in doing so has empowered those who would now pack SCOTUS. Perhaps Breyer should have considered this when Texas petitioned the court in a recent case.

For anyone, including among fanatic Liberals, to dare say something so bold and innocuous as, 'Hey you know, Maybe we should think this through.' is enough to get the person blackballed and smeared.
That is why we see the media and Hollywood weirdos competing with each other to see who can spew the most HATE. Who can be the most outrageously anti-American/anti-Christian/anti-White. In the Liberal world there is no such concept as "too extreme". However, if anyone questions any harebrained destructive agenda they put forth, that person transforms in a minute into the Devil himself.
For Breyer to dare say, "Maybe we should think about this for a second.", according to the Orthodox Leftists, he may as well be Rush Limbaugh.
