Gateway Pundit Declares Bankruptcy
“TGP Communications, the parent company of The Gateway Pundit, recently made the decision to seek protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the Southern District of Florida as a result of the progressive liberal lawfare attacks against our media outlet.”

Thursday, Gateway Pundit founder Jim Hoft posted the following statement to his long-time blog:

A message from our Founder:
TGP Communications, the parent company of The Gateway Pundit, recently made the decision to seek protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the Southern District of Florida as a result of the progressive liberal lawfare attacks against our media outlet.
This is not an admission of fault or culpability. This is a common tool for reorganization and to consolidate litigation when attacks are coming from all sides. It allows TGP to consolidate this lawfare in one court for ultimate resolution.
Despite the radical left’s efforts to silence The Gateway Pundit through censorship, de-platforming, de-banking, cut-off from advertisers, and other financial strategies, we will not be deterred from our mission of remaining fearless and being one of the most trusted independent media outlets in America today. We do not expect that to change.

I'm not particularly sympathetic to Gateway Pundit, but have they lost a slander/libel case? Or merely been buried in possibly frivolous lawfare lawsuits?

After watching leftists for the past decade, I suspect TGP is inundated with frivolous lawsuits. That said, TGP is not my first choice when looking for news. They tend to ignore important details in their stories. :shrug:

I agree with both @PeteS in CA and @Cyber Liberty . The GP is incredibly sloppy and sensationalistic in its reporting, but I also think they've likely been hit with some suits purely for harassment purposes.
Of course, the same thing is applicable to them that is applicable to Trump -- if you make it too easy for your enemies to come after you, you share in the blame for your fate.

The writing is pretty bad. When I see a GP story, I generally try to find another source to get a clearer version of what's going on.

It's lawsuits:
The site’s parent company, TGP Communications, will file for bankruptcy in Florida “as a result of the progressive liberal lawfare attacks against our media outlet”, founder Jim Hoft wrote on the website.
Those lawsuits include one from the Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, who sued the organization in Missouri, where it is based, after the website perpetuated false claims that the two had been involved in election fraud in Georgia.
In a separate case, Freeman and Moss secured a $148m judgment against Rudy Giuliani for spreading election lies about them and defaming them. After the verdict, the former New York City mayor and Trump attorney filed for bankruptcy, complicating whether or how Freeman and Moss can get paid

The problem with that is Ruby Freeman really did what she's been accused of, but since GA won't investigate, TGP has no evidence of their charges. This refusal to investigate is happening all over the country, like in AZ.

I saw what that fat lady and her daughter did that night at the SF arena, pulling out those ballots when they thought they were alone, then running them through over and over. In GA, that nut Raftensburger, or whatever his name is, the aide, was the DNC's inside man. In AZ, that nasty sheriff put snipers on the roof and locked the doors when they were "counting". And counting and counting until golly gee Biden was finally ahead, Cheaters.

well, I did post some but I think I left in the election of 2016. FWIR, the place was crawling with neverTrumpers, and one of them posted some cooked poll and was gloating over it before Trump won. I said something about it being unreliable, and one of them said something like I must be stupid like all the Trump voters were. I thought that was stupid itself, you don't win people over by insulting them.
With FR, it was their constant begging and their cliques which at the time has some really annoying people there. Thanks again for the welcome back.

I don’t classify myself as a Never. I am more than willing to vote for him if he would acknowledge the mistakes in his first term and step away from the populism and embrace economic libertarianism and fiscal conservatism
If he did such, I would reconsider with a recognition that he could just be pulling my leg, but I’d be willing to give him another chance

No, I'm not looking for a rah-rah Trump thing, but I am more on the Trump train now than I was way back then - in 20115/2016, I was never that sure that I was right about Trump. He was untested politically, and you could tell he really didn't have a fixed ideology. I'd seen him on that scripted reality tv show and thought he was a hoot but it was hard to take him seriously. Then he was up against Hillary, and my thought process was that it was better to go with the possible devil than the sure devil. Now I can compare his term with Biden's and Trump's was much better. But I do agree he can't save this country alone and he has serious flaws, particulary when it comes to character assessment.
