Durbin willing to look at medical device tax, later

Senate Majority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin said he's willing to look at the medical device tax, a controversial element of Obamacare, just not in the context of the continuing resolution.

"I'm willing to look at that but not with a gun to my head, not with the prospect of shutting down government," Durbin (D-Ill.) said on "Face the Nation."

Durbin said after watching the House vote on Sunday morning he is certain that a shutdown will occur.

"Seventy-five percent of Republicans in America reject this tea party strategy of shutting down government," Durbin said.
